Transfer Rumour Michy Batshuayi

....they only move if somebody wants them and they’re prepared to go. Tosun in particular will be difficult to shift given the length of his contract and salary.

Depends on the character of the player, do they want to play or happy to pick up a small fortune for bugger all.

i'd be happy for niasse and tosun to go if batshuayi came in, we would still have richarlison and DCL to play up front and even walcott if we have loads of injuries

I'd probably keep Niasse to be honest, just because it's good to have him on the bench as an option

He makes a nuisance of himself and there's always a chance he could make something happen, even if he has a lack of footballing skill

i think he would be alot easier to sell fro actrual money as i think he is on a lower wage

i think the most likely way of getting batshuayi is - sell niasse to bring in funds, loan out tosun to free up wages

....Tosun has had a life changing move, not only providing financial security for him but also for his representatives. He can’t be expected to take a massive wage cut to simply play elsewhere. It’s not down to his character, it’s down to common sense. He’ll only move at this stage if it’s financially attractive.

I don't necessarily disagree, I would like to think some players actually want to play and aren't happy sitting on the bench. the money has softened the blow for fringe players i guess and what hunger does a 20 year old in his first ever job earning £20-30k a week have to go on and be the best they can be.

....it’s silly money now, Bernie. I used to say two contracts for a Premier League player sets them up for life, but it’s probably one contract these days. The youngsters at our club will be rich beyond belief, they live in a totally different world.

Regarding character, the question I always ask in respect of any transfer is, do they play like the game matters to them?

Didn't work out for him at Valencia, I'd give him a chance as it could be conflict or personal issues that impacted his form there.

Anything less than £20m is a no brainer.

I remember the undeniable clammer from Evertonians everwhere for his signature during his youthful Marseille years.

Now, despite being physically mature, quick, at the right age with a decent goal record & having good Premier League experience, he’s all of a sudden hopeless.

Yes we all want Werner etc but please be real people. Those kind of strikers are destined for CL Clubs.

Is he though? Last season maybe when everyone played 10 yards up the pitch, would play out from the back against us because we were crap, then maybe.

Now teams are playing defensively and come for a point against us. There isn't the space for him to be a nuisance. Every game he's played this season he looks every penny of the player Martinez bought.

Richarlison is the main man in attack. Bats would be ther to take some of the goal scoring load off him, he’s a good finisher.
