Could fail miserably.
One the basis of Brands "one in one out" this tells me Cenk or Oumar are gone.
So on that basis ( and @ £14mil ) I'm in.

Seriously tho , quite liked the look of him right up til Valencia . I'm sure we were heavily linked with him for a good while.
Decent record and a good chance for him to re-establish himself.

I think he'll do well here and like I said in a previous post, we'll sell niasse(8-10m) and buy batshuayi (15-20m). If we can do that for those figures and consider him as niasse replacement I think we'll of done some good business and improved the squad.
 
He's been absolutely CRAP for Valencia though, let's be fair. They have some pretty good players - Parejo, Gaya (who is just fantastic, BTW), Guedes, Soler, etc. - and he's been about the biggest problem. They've given up like 16 goals and only scored 16. The offense is the problem. He put on a deplorable performance in the cup match I watched the other day. Keep made a blunder and just GAVE him a breakaway that he completely botched. Gaya was just killing his guys on the left side and Bats was nowhere to be seen, delivery after delivery into the box.

That being said, he was a complete poacher stud with Dortmund. So go figure.

Yes, this is, perhaps, a good way to phrase it. If we can get 8 for our Prince then we would essentially be swapping Niasse and 6M for Bats. I would do that.

It all depends on how badly Chelsea want to move on (and whether or not others thing the same and drive the price past the point of reason)

Course none of this will happen like.
 

I think Batshuayi could actually fit this team very well. What Silva wants is a striker who has good hold up play, which he has, and can pass the ball around in a free flowing attack to the likes of Richarlison, Bernard and Siggurdson. One of the things Batshuayi does the best is pass the ball, his one touch passing and vision is very good compared to most strikers.

Obviously the concern is the lack of production at Valencia, but... he only played the equivalent of 6 matches for them, they've been starting someone else, and their team is dreadful offensively, only 16 goals all season, tied for worst in the league.

When’s the last time we were linked with a player and you thought it would happen? Seems like you say “won’t happen” with all of them.
You’re obviously going to be right most of the time, but it’s fun to believe in something once in a while.

bats is valued at 14m for a reason.

hes uber crud

where as Wilson is making a name for himself at Bournemouth, and is valued at 50m, as he will guarantee you goals

I thought we’d sign Bernard. Because we literally did shortly afterwards.

When papers come out with stuff it’s generaly wrong so easy to say it won’t happen.
