I dont follow their business that closely, if at all, but long time Chelsea fan Andy Jacobs has been bewildered by it for years.

Chelsea do have form for this type of thing but normally the other player is a world class talent not a Bournemouth striker who doesn't hit double figures and has done both knees in, just rings an alarm for me, strange because I think bats looks decent from what i have seen.

We can't loan him because we're only allowed one loan from each Premier League team and we have Zouma.

In theory we could buy Zouma and loan him but I think that's unlikely...

Yes he would obviously become our best forward, but we need much much better. He's not a long term option. So not a sensible option. Unless it's a loan. Which we can't have. So swerve.

....i’ve always liked him, thought he’s the type of mobile, pacy striker we want. Up until this season his goalscoring record is very decent and Chelsea do get things wrong occasionally.
