One answer, and I suppose it depends on our finances, is to buy these young starlets and loan them straight to a team in europe for a season, where work permits are not so much of an issue. Somewhere like PSV would be ideal, building on our existing relationship with Brands. Hopefully they would perform well enough to cement their position in their national team, and a season in Holland would help bridge the quality gap and prepare them for life in the Premier.

Yeh like Onyekuru but it’s how long they’ll take to then get a permit - I don’t want to be another Chelsea. I’m a little surprised we don’t send out some of our young academy lads out there though.

That might change come March 29th,who knows.
Yeah. Who knows what's going to happen. If the 2 sides can agree on the interim arrangements I don't think anything will change initially as regards the work permits for none EC players.

You live in Span don't you? All the uncertainty must be a bit worrying at the moment.

Think Chelsea is the extreme tbf but I take your point. It is a way around the system though for bringing in the type of player Brands is used to. Not all will work of course but that's the gamble you take when you bring them in younger.

I'd liked to have seen Dowell go out to PSV.

Supposedly were asking for €45mil for Gana (who has agreed terms with PSG) and are looking at Thiago Mendes from Lille for €30mil as the replacement.

Telefoot france reporting it...
