I remember under Moyes, we would win a few games "ugly" and the performances would come. We need to start getting a few clean sheets, but at least we are generally only conceding 1 goal which is a start.

It's funny though, even on this horrific run, we have scored 2 (should have been 3) against a very good Spurs team. Caused City problems, more than matched the best team in the country as well as achieved the biggest away win in 30 years. As always it's more of a nuanced position than we are just terrible.
Generally conceding a single goal??

I think not ..

31 in 21 conceded

Get rid of the aura of failure around the club engendered by the excuse of a board we have endured since 1989..despite Moshiri arriving and so called restructuring at the top it is like a poison which has steadily worsened and produced a solitary trophy in that time. Kenshite was content to stay in the prem with Moyes, and then appointed a manager who despite 3/4 of a good season was taking the club towards the championship...he was rightly sacked but Moshiri appointed a manager who plainly didn't give a toss and then panicked with BFS. The appointment of Brands gave rise to some hope that we actually had a long term plan but I suspect that Silva was a Moshiri/ Billy liar appointment. Never wanted Marco in the first place because I felt he had no plan B when things went wrong as was the case with Martinez but on the other hand you have to give the guy a chance to start from scratch and not whinge after only 6 months here. We need players who will fit into an organised, hard to beat team...that means sorting the fecking defence out as a priority. We are seemingly fragile as a team atm and this has got to be addressed pronto otherwise we may not progress. Give Brands and Silva the proper players to work with and hopefully we can rid ourselves of this "Everton that", "We are not allowed nice things" etc mentality which we have at present.

I said in the match thread that Marco needs a few months away from Everton to convalesce. He’s in a terrible vortex of despair and misery. We all follow Everton, so we’ve all been where Marco is presently....watching and following Everton strips the soul out of you...and makes you hate football.
But Marco is Portuguese and your typical Iberian is not as mentally tough as a hardy Anglo Saxon Evertonian.
This won’t end well...I see nothing but pitch black despair in the future for Marco.

I appreciate what everyone feels and empathise with the universal misery. But my point is that we are innured to dealing with abject disappointment...we have followed Everton for years. Our DNA is configured to withstand the despair Everton induces.
But Marco is cut of less stout cloth. His situation needs monitoring VERY closely. He is on the edge of a precipice...the pitch black abyss lies below. I hope he can step back...but I fear the worst. Everton will chew him up and spit him out.

D....you being serious....absolutely does not compare with in any way to the unhappiness/despair many fellow blues feel. He can walk away tomorrow a multi millionaire....we cant (walk away)

Bit hard to do that when you were bequeathed a loose cannon GK and no striker worthy of the name.

The lack of a striker was pretty obvious today. DCL has a nice pass to Bernard, but when you have the ball for long periods of time, facing the goal from 25 yards out, the CF needs to step up, create some space, and make things happen.

A third of our goals conceded coming from set plays.

Tells it’s own story, as well as telling stories from the past (Hull and Watford) and the future (every team will be going for the corners or set pieces close to our box)

Arrogance kills Everton managers Marco. Sort it out

You should start a Marco out campaign...like you did with Sam last season.

I'll support your Marco out campaign like
