Very different physical game for him here, and he appears to be settling in well, expect some peaks and troughs, hopefully he plateaus at a peak.

I think after this season he will be, unfortunately, be in big demand off the top clubs in Europe as well as this country, that’s how good he is.

If rumours are to be believed he does have a release clause of £35 million+. His stock was tarnished with the world cup display against Germany back in 2014 when Brazil lost 7-1, unfortunately for Bernard it was in front of his home town of Belo Horizonte.

May well be the case, but I don't believe any player is safe these days from such approaches, just hope the likes of Lookman can come into the fold if he evokes such a clause!

Of all the players to be made a scapegoat, this bloke is not the one.

Especially when our right side exists.

His link up play is very good and he does great getting the ball forward. But at some point he needs to find some composure and just hit the target with a shot. You can't have someone play where he is and not be directly involved in goals more than once every four games.
