Timing if anything is gonna fuel rumours mate, overall though of the opinion if he goes we will bring in better
We are not privy to know what goes on behind closed doors. Silva was obviously frustrated not just with his attitude but also the fact he wanted to leave in the summer. If he has expressed his desire to do so again, I suspect he may just feel he's wasting his time after 6 months and he can go in January if the right offer comes in. Either way he isn't going to waste playing time on him.
The lad has come on over the last 3 months, no doubt. He has talent. However I can understand if Silva feels he has to spend an awful lot of time at either end of the window managing him. The hope would be, having gone through it in the summer the penny would drop and he would keep his head down and keep working. If he wants to move again it may impact upon that. Again fair enough.
I like the lad, not as much as some but do like him. For me he has lots of talent but not enough end numbers. We do have a really young team though so losing a younger player, for the right fee is not the end of the world.
If we can trade Lookman for Lozano I'd be very happy. There's every chance Lookman could become the better player, at the end of the career, but love the next 2-3 years Lozano will be the better player and the one more suited to our game plan.
I'd also add, Walcott is playing a lot better the last couple of games. He was brilliant today, looked a real threat. I wonder rid he will go on a streaky run. I also think he and Bernard play well away from home again sides outside the top 6 teams. We have plenty of those games left.
Whichever way you look at it, we do need to start bringing some cash in from transfers and paying our way. Even if Moshiri is bankrolling us happily, you imagine at some stage he will want some value to come in. £25+ million for him could be too tempting to turn away.
