As long as we are seeing green shoots I’m on board. We play decent football and there have at times been signs of promise. That being said we were [Poor language removed] [Poor language removed] today and Pickford is a problem.

We have played 1 game less, but if we beat Burnley it would be more points from the same amount of games.

Still horrible, but we should have been top of the league after our first 6 games. We took 6pts.

Yep. Fixture list order means absolutely everything. Silva has taken 8 points from the last 9 games in a run including games against Man City, Man Utd, Chelsea and Spurs. We have also played Liverpool. Koeman got sacked for taking (yes you've guessed it) 8 points from the first 9 games. He also played City Utd, Chelsea and Spurs. He got sacked for a 5-2 home defeat to Arsenal (equivalent to Liverpool in the run if we are talking big 6 teams).

So my question to all. Same form as Koeman. Worse home defeat against a top 6 team at the end of the run a and similar money spent. What should happen to Silva now if we (as the supporters) and also the owners of the club are being consistent and fair?

This really. Southampton just did and hire an exciting manager who was sacked for finishing 5th. We hired a guy who was relegated and fired mid season after a miserable run.
Sorry, but Southampton have been a shambles. The fact is as many, if not more foreign managers are failures as the British ones, who tend not to be hired by big clubs.

Proper big clubs sack managers after results like that. Just the team selection should trigger major alarm bells. Ridiculous.

We are not a proper big club anymore but if we now continue this rut over the next 6 or 7 games then I think it may be Brands telling Moshiri to get rid. Lets see what January brings as we need several players in and out.

I don't understand how people aren't livid by this. I've said for weeks we're underachieving, this is even worse.

I like to think I’m a pretty calm poster on here. Try to give everyone a good chance. Even Silva, who I never wanted, got a chance. I hate the managerial bull crap and hoped he’d prove me wrong. I stuck by Pickford longer than nearly everyone.

But I can’t have things like today. It’s embarrassing.

But my overall fear right now is that Moshiri will not do a thing because Silva is his boy.

Bad result, no point sacking him. He gets a season at least. Needs to change the team selection. Mina in for Keane. Lookman needs a few games and we need to sign a striker who can score in January.

And the point is? They're a mess but they can still hire a guy who's done very well throughout his career and lead a team to the 2nd place finish in Bundesliga. If they can get this type of manager, how on earth we've hired another one who was relegated from the Premier League?
