Come on Toff, you should know by now that no player or manager's records outside of the PL count for anything on this forum. Hell, half the time they didn't exist before they came to Everton.

If you believe that rather than the fact Watford were 6/7th playing good football when Koeman was punted. Silva was flavour of the month as was Koeman at Saints.

Moshiri has never looked further than the South Coast in terms of managers and sadly all 3 of them have been mid table appointments.

For example, I’ve had my reservations about Silva (to stay on topic of the thread!) since day one. And not really seen a massive amount to change my mind about him despite a good bit of form.

However, I’m not banging on about him because he has to be given a chance. We’ve had some god awful results this season but just be sensible.

For today, please just be sensible. Think about it. You’ve literally come in here because we currently sit 11th. It’s an insane reaction.

Personally if a manger can do it right and gets results (7th, EL spot) instantly then there is a platform to build upon hoping to break into top 6 next season.

If a manager cannot gets enough results instantly and finish 11th then I cannot see how a team can be fixed (to become the best of the rest if you see what I mean) all of a sudden in one summer.

I am not saying this applies this our current manager actually. I think this blind faith thing is rooted among the fans. Time and time again they are let down by the past managers and players. “Hopefully this this and such would happen next season...everything will be ok...or he is going to employ a good defensive coach etc.”

6th place is gone now and I couldn’t care less about finishing 7th beyond the fact we would have to win more games to finish there than, say, eleventh.

So I am expecting a full strength team against Imps as a declaration of intent from Silva.

If I spent all day posting how great Silva is no one would say a word, but because im not in his fan club I get roasted.

Put it this way if come May and the consensus is he's got to go, no one would have anything to say about me posting 50 times a day that he's not the right man as it'll all be likes on post after post. But because its not the consensus im a crap fan/kopite/banned poster etc etc

Unknown for us to drop points against gash - so basically accept the same mediocrity that was supposedly not good enough hence previous managerial kickings.

I personally dont care what the RS do.

Im gutted they have a top manager like, but Im judging Silva more on current results against not only the top 6 but those sides around us who have spent vastly less.

Only because we are coming of such a low base.

But some of the games I have sat through recently could quite easily have been from the Koeman or Allardyce eras.

Huddersfield, Cardiff, Barcodes and Watford.

To me, the only real, tangible improvement playing wise has been in the big away matches where we were merely a clinical finisher away from recoding a couple of wins.

But some of those home games have been dire.
