New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

After 5 years we will probably still owe over 400 million. It is costing City 60 million to add 6k, do you think we would do that so soon after building it? File that under 'back burner', we would have to become the most successful club in the country for them to even remotely think about it.

Like I said if it makes financial sense and the demand is there abosloutley.

The thing with capital infrastructure figures is they look big, but you have to think about financing them long term. For example 500 mill, over 50 years is 10 million a year, pretty much the price of a Henry Onyekuru a year. 60 mill is negligible to be honest, especially as it’s revenue generating.

Look, this IMO is about funding. We can finance it the private route, but the remaining price tag past initial funding sources from seat deposits, massive naming rights deal with USM, would be massive with a 62K stadium and difficult to find. Without public financing, based on the banking professionals that I know and have spoken with not many commercial banks WANT to get into an investment beyond a 5 year time horizon. A stadium is also a limited use type of asset of course, although redevelopment of the land to support both the stadium and accompanying development is helpful.
