Aye, his job was to keep them up and all he had to do was not lose to Sunderland. They were all but safe!

His close but no cigar season got him the Watford job, and after an impressive start they went into meltdown. Their manager this season is doing better.

Nothing stopping you getting upset if that's what you want to do. I got upset about it for 20 years then realised barring unexpected results/us starting to buy the best players it won't change any time soon.

Everyone, let’s just give up, Dannyboy has given us some perspective here. We are what we are, let’s not expect anything but failure.

The meltdown was partly down to us coming in for him which could be a worrying sign tbh Still time will tell. Give him and Marcel January and the summer to make improvements and then we can start seeing if real progress is being made. I think we are currently where we are expected to be with the current squad we have.

It's managing expectations. You getting all worked up on an Internet forum isn't going to get us into the top 6 when they are better than us.

I'd love us to be able to threaten the top 4 but I can see that we aren't at that level.
 
Transition season, we all knew it would be, and all commented as such at the start of the season. Fans need to relax, we are building a team for the future, no more short term appointments and expectations at the club. Those views hurt us sinfe mosh came in. Need to slowly build a team dedicated to a set style. Was never gonna be perfect halfway through the first step of the process. Need to see the bigger picture.
 
We’ve played arguably the toughest 4 games of the season over the last 6 weeks or so. People need to chill out and give it time. He’s not even had half a season.

I know the internet isn’t necessarily a reflection of actual personality but some of the behaviour of people in reaction to a bad result makes me question how on Earth they navigate real life (ignoring the obvious wums).
 
Needs to sort this out.

I mean, a loss today is hardly the end of the world, and probably expected - but in general this is terribly poor form considering the confidence was sky high going into and up until the last moment of the Liverpool game.

I agree completely with this post surely people can see we have made progress.
Silva must be given time or we will just be back to square one.
Also bear in mind we have played 5 of last
Years top six away from home in our first 16 games and though we haven't won any we have give all of them a game.
I honestly feel we are not that far away but it will take time.
