It is always much more fun when they all get there hopes up and become self elected champions elect/CL winners/royal rumble winners/best fans in der weeerld/best guitar player etc etc

They have to climb as high as possible to make that fall all the furthar when it happens.

I wonder who will be the new ramos this season?
Hoping for sterling to score an offside winner when they play city in january and we can go months and months of RS digging up old tweets etc of him.

It will be beautiful guys, keep the faith

I want us to beat City because its to early in the season for me to think that tge RS cant be stopped. However I am slightly worried as this RS side is better than the one that bottled 2013/2014. Man City have also improved but they could be chasing the Champions League as well at the end of the season. I can see why lads want us to lose but I don't as its too early in the season to be looking at things like that.

I'll be furious if we beat or even draw with City next week. That GK of ours already handed 3 points toward the Kopite's title funds, let that be the end of our largesse.

The only way I wouldn't think that is if the title race was still a 3/4 horse race. It isn't. It's down to a straight fight between our bitterest rivals and a team I couldn't give a monkey's about...guess which one I want to win the title?

Everton are in transition. We can make a sucessful transition without beating or drawing with City.

It's not even a choice to me. It's a tribal reflex. SteveO above mentioned being hardwired to crave an Everton win. It's a nice term. But here's what I see as the fault in that: if Liverpool win the title it will have a DIRECT impact on our development. It will lay low this club's supporters' morale and it'll cast a giant shadow over what Silva is trying to achieve here - because make no mistake, the impatience levels and levels of frustration will be cranked right up and it'll warp our understanding of where we should be as a club emerging out of the dark night. There IS a relationship between any success they have and how we progress.

In short: Come on City! All day long next week.

Be lucky if you see a worse post than this all year.

When will the Kopite pre-match title celebrating pyro parties start? Not long after the new year if they remain a pint ahead of City, I'd guess.

They never learn.

That kick in the bollocks when it arrives for them is going to be even more painful than last time.

Ive yet to see Silva park the bus in any game.
We got plenty behind the ball at Stamford Bridge. It was bookended by a livley start and a lively finish, but nevertheless the tactic for the day was to get bodies back behind the ball in our own half and work hard to close down space.

Why because we might finish 7th on 60 points rather than 7th on 63 points?

Get a grip City will smash us with or without my blessing as they are a completely stronger side than us especially at the etihad.

As a Blue with a red sibling, red mother and red colleagues giving me stick all season I couldnt give a toss if they put us to the sword saturday so long as we don't slide down the table & the RS hopefully drop points.
So you're not ever blue then? You're ever not red?

United will beat them or at least draw next week. United will use that game the way Chelsea used that City game: as redemption.

Liverpool will drop points there.
