ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

That Liver Building stunt has sent them doolally. Never known anything quite like it.

It's only the Liver building but it seems to have gotten under their skin. Bit of a mad response from them lot.

Do you think we'll do the same thing before the next derby? Maybe shine the Everton badge in the sky over Anfield. A bit like the bat signal!

Imagine that. They'd be fuming and it'd give our players a massive boost. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that we did this Liver Building stunt, they fume and we get the best performance out our team at their place in years.

What a surprise that the BBC have chosen the RS FA Cup game to be shown live!

I was joking a while back that whoever they draw, the BBC will show it live.

Because every season the BBC choose the RS as their 3rd round live game.

I don’t like them but in all seriousness this is a ridiculous complaint.

They one of a few all Premier League ties in the 3rd round. That almost guarantees a TV game.

Also, no denying the fact that the RS along with United, Arsenal and maybe Chelsea get the highest viewing figures for TV.

It’s not a difficult decision for the TV companies but them on Or United if there aren;t any obvious other stand out ties

Allison hasn't been that great up to the derby.

He has mate, pains me to say it but he has bailed them out of plenty of goals. I know some xg data recently and I know people are a bit sceptical of it but Chelsea have conceded a similar amount of Xg as Liverpool but they've conceded 7 goals more.

I do think he's in great form too and it will probably level out a bit, but he has been a fantastic signing as has VVD. Fortunately for us Fabinho and Keita look anything but.

Sides need to watch the video of what we did and take note. They won't leak many chances but they also won't scare you going the other way. Just make sure you haven't got a goalkeeper trying to re-enact a circus stunt and you should be ok.

Why mate, it's clearly the best tie of the round

I appreciate that, but my point was that the BBC would have automatically chosen the RS game whoever they played.

FA Cup 3rd Round
2018-Wolves. Live on BBC
2017- us Live on BBC
2016- Exeter. Live on BBC
2015-Wimbledon Live on BBC

You can't expect Danny Murphy to provide expert analysis on teams who play in the lower leagues and he's never heard of before.

Liverpool play in a cautious way with a lot of emphasis on keeping clean sheets. That helps massively. He's hardly been called on to make a save. About 2 per match so far on average. He's had some howlers along the way too. At the very least it;s too early to come to a conclusion about him. I must say that when I think of Liverpool's clean sheets I dont think of Alission as having pulled the fat out of the fire for them - apart from the derby as I said.

He seemed to again last night and at Huddersfield if I remember.

I think Gomez is quite a big loss. I've seen Lovren is injured again. I have no idea what's happened to Klavan. I suspect both have been run into the ground by Klopp and are becoming quite injury prone. I have my doubts Lovren (who now nearly 30) is going to fair too well under the Klopp methods much longer.

I have a sense he will rush Gomez back, without giving him enough rehabilitation time. For the lads sake I hope he doesn't. He is a promising player, but you really wouldn't want him suffering the sort of injury record Sturridhe and Lallana have had over the last couple of seasons.

It's a bit frustrating really, they have averted a mini crisis with 3 good wins. I hope Bournemouth can turn up Saturday. Fortunately City play Chelsea at a good time, but thats a classic game that if Liverpool win their game they could mess up. Alternatively though, if they fall further behind this weekend it will be massively demoralising for Liverpool.

The Blue liver building stunt upset them for the following reason.

For a few years now the RS have been trying to peddle the myth, that they own the city.

We have witnessed a variant of ethnic cleansing, whereby they have endeavoured to wipe us from the map.

The generic appropriation of the Liver-Bird ( the emblem of OUR city) not their rotten club, has been the most obvious example.

We are the city's SENIOR and ORIGINAL football club, and regardless of fortunes, this truth eats into their wretched black hearts.

More than just that mate, it also means they have lost the player they use in the tougher games at right back to allow them to rest Arnold. Outside their front three only the keeper and vvd injuries could have been worse really.
Yes, good point. They might go into the market in January on that score.

Gomez looks the part with VVD. I'd say he's been equally if not more crucial to that backline of theirs holding up so far.

He'll miss about the next 14/15 PL fixtures for them - that's if he makes a recovery of around 8 weeks (and he wont be up to speed for a spell after).

That is a hammer blow to them, especially when everyone knows they have emphasised defence this season as the plinth they will erect a title challenge on.

Even if City drop points this weekend, that Liverpool team are living a charmed existence, and for me their luck ran out on Wednesday with that Gomez injury.

I'm still waiting for the Mosh to put up a blue plaque on the Liver Building where he reveals their names as Dixie and Big Nev.

He's tied #1 with Oblak with over 85% of saves of chances faced so far this season, Pickford was below the 60% range from what i saw on Twitter last week.

Top 10 keepers were Oblak, Alisson,Ter Stegen,Neuer,DeGea,Kepa,Lloris,Ederson, can't remember the other 2 and all were above 80% mark.

Mate where have you been ? Was genuinely a bit worried about you but for some reason just felt you’d be back this week.
