He handled the ball to try and gain an advantage. If he had gone on and scored, but it was then disallowed for handball, he would have been booked.

A : no he wouldn't under the laws of the game, and B : thats not what happened.

He handballed it, a foul was given with no further punishment.

100% correct decision in law.

We've been good but so so wasteful. Got to give credit to their keeper I suppose but this is the leanest defence in the league yet we've cut them to ribbons. Can't say we deserve to be ahead because they've been equally wasteful. But this is the difference between us and the top 6. We're like this every away game, yet they only get one or two chances and bury them. We go to places like Bournemouth should have scoring five but ending up dropping points.

But we're going places, Bernard and gomes have been so so classy on the ball which is what we need to kick on. For years we've had good teams but not comfortable on the ball.

Just look at it as another step in our progression. So far we have carved open chances against them which is something we have rarely done in the past. Silvas first season and the stark contrast in style etc in a wonderment. I will never forget the 84 League cup final against Liverpool when we went there without a prayer but more than matched them and then unfortunate to lose the replay....that was when we knew Everton were back and I have a similar feeling now.

Bottom line is were 0-0 at HT / created some quality chances and not played our best.
We should give them a right go in the second half !
