Computer games.

I'm getting a PS4 for Christmas, anyone on here got one recently? Just wondering how long did a system update take once it was unboxed.
I've got a feeling by the time that's done and I've installed the games it probably won't be Christmas day..

Also will be looking at getting a pair of headphones for it. Won't be spending a fortune but can anyone recommend a decent set which have a mic on them?

Cheers
I got a very cheap set of headphones in GAME for 20.seem to be quite decent to me.
Your update shouldnt take long mate.

I got a new one recently mate. Start up and all that didn’t take too long if I remember.

One thing to keep in mind is that some games (Spider-Man and RDR2 recently in particular) take quite a while to copy onto the system. Think Spider-Man took an hour and then RDR2 took 90 minutes I think. Then if you are buying games that rely on online play you will have to wait for the latest updates to download before you can play. If you have good internet this won't be too much of an issue, just mentioning it as mine is rubbish!

Basically just get it set up as early as possible as there will inevitably be a few things that need to be seen to before getting a game going.

Had an hour in GAME playroom.
Tried TECKEN 4....amazing but not my type of game.
FIFA 19...really impressed, very smooth and enjoyable.
GT SPORTS..only had 10 mins but looks very decent.

Fallout 76 with a friend is good fun. Played for a few hours last night just wandering around, discovering new locations, shooting nasties & looting everything.

Bit of a cliche question, but has anyone played a horror game which has truly frightened them? Would like to play through a few.
Outlast 1&2 were quite good mate. You need to be in the dark and playing with a headset on though to get the full experience in things like these.

Resident evil 7 was quite scary in some parts too. Not overly, mind

Silent hill 1 and 2
Resident evil 7...i still cant finish it. .too many jump scares for the ol heart.
Outlast 1 and 2
Just for starters...

I only just finished resident evil 7 last week. Could only play it in short-ish bursts. It doesn’t help though that the main character is so so slow, running away from enemies is practically impossible.
