Not how I was trying to convey this, I think Zouma is a better player than Keane after watching them both, I'm an ex centre half so always take an interest. With the modern game, for me, Zouma is a better player. Of course the combination seems to be working well for both of them and both have strengths and weaknesses that they hopefully understand.

Fair enough mate.

I like them both. I’m really pleased to see them both working out to be honest. Especially with Mina to come in. 3 decent centre halves is where we need to be at.

I’m made up for Keane though. He was poor last season and got a lot of stick (some fair) but in the context of his injury it’s to be expected really.

And now you are seeing a closer reflection of the player he is. I think he’ll just get better and better to be honest. As will the partnership the more they play.

We are only 10 games in.

I'm not sure if he'd have got as much stick from fans if we actually knew about to injury, but he was so so bad I don't understand why we didn't just rest him and let him recover. It's not exactly like he was playing well whilst injured, could have played half a season as good as he has been this one, if we rested him.

The injury stuff was reported last year. He didn't get a load of slack because it's a fairly common thing to play through injury. This year they've spun it again and because he's been better people have decided to be a lot more receptive to it because it allows them to say oh he's good after all, the absolutely horrendous performances last year were nothing to do with him and all because of an injury.

Well, if you read the article you can see three separate managers put their own livelihood before his.

Tbh they should be ashamed of themselves. He was, what, 24? He was a young kid and easily impressionable. People forget just how young footballers are sometimes.

They are coming to the end of their careers by the time they are old enough to be even close to mature enough to handle being a grown up. Let alone fame, fortune etc.

Yeah. Didn't remember it being reported last year. Memory of a siv though

I didn't expect anything less of koeman and allardyce tbf, no compassion with those two.

why is it interesting?

They have both been replaced by younger players, in Baines case by a player who has played for PSG, Roma and Barca so is a class act. The other by a player who was good enough to be on the bench for France recently too.

Who has actually rumoured them to be anything other than model pro's? except one or two cranks on here!

Sorry I shouldn’t listen to the cranks
