Absolutely.

Just seen Silva interviewed on Sky.
To say he is miffed we didnt take any of the 5/6 chances would be an understatement.
He knows what is needed.
Up to Brands to sort it now.
I was getting laughed at in the summer suggesting that DCL and Tosun weren't nearly good enough.

Now we have to drag a player out of his best position to make up for the fact that the gormless gets who run the club couldn't see that we desperately needed an attacker.

Brands fault that.

To be fair to Brands, there was so much needed that it was near on impossible to sort it all.

Sorted a LB
Sorted a LM
Sorted not one but 2 CB's
Added the touch of class and quality passing in the middle
Added more quality and depth in the wide areas
Added pace
Brought the age right down

Next has to be a RB, RM and a Striker.

I'm not sure signing players equates automatically to "sorting" it, tbh.

signing quality players does though. zouma, gomes, digne and ricarlison have all greatly improved the team and mina is still to come in.
I'm not that fussed on Zouma. Gomes is way too early to call. Digne is excellent. Richarlison was Silva's call. Bernard: Meh. Mina - who knows.

Well changing youth scouts and adding extra beds at FF wasnt going to sort it.

It was glaringly obvious to everyone what the problems were last season and he's sorted most of it in a very short period.

The team is evolving but it can and will be improved. I’d like to see Mina and Lookman start next week. We are three players short of being a very good side. Wan Bissaka and Lozano down our right hand side and Werner up front and we would be a match for most teams in the league. You only have to look at how Digne and Richarlison have transformed our left hand side, those two would do likewise to our right.

Teams target our right hand side because both players are 30 years old and cannot keep up with the pace. You get away with it against the bottom teams but when we play the top sides then we will get punished.

Kenny got rinsed in the last game he played, so no, he doesn't. Exactly kind of knee-jerk stuff which winds me right up.

Agree with the other shouts, but it's not like we hadn't been playing well with that team.

Kenny did get rinsed in his last game I agree.

However if Silva is encouraging squad unity by applying a basic principle of ‘you stay in the team until you don’t perform’ then he has to be fair & back that up.

If he doesn’t, the current fringe players would lose trust in him.

Kenny bar that last game was pretty competent I thought. How many games this season has Coleman stunk out vs Kenny?

Brands and Silva (and whoever else is involved) has transformed the squad in one summer - we strengthened where we really needed to at that time, but i agree we do need a top striker. Given their excellent first window i fully trust those in charge to “sort it”

Timo Werner.

Nobody was laughing. Everyone was saying we had bigger priorities to address first, which we did.
