Yes, the previous CEO said planning permission would be submitted late 2017 when the funding vehicle has been sorted. As of yet neither have been done.

The original statement said season 2021/22 we hoped to be in, then earlier this year it was the 2022/23 season. Might as well say 2023/24 season now.

Thank god we havn't done a Spurs though.

Not really. If planning permission is submitted by the start of the 19/20 season as planned then that's 3 years to build in time for the 22/23 season.

Also if we go private funding its good to see the kopites and Lib Dems cost the city 7 million a year revenue at a time of austerity cuts because of petty club & party rivalry.

No bank would loan us the shortfall if we done that deal with LCC.

It was always going to be the case of private funding in the end.

This is the statutory consultation of the general public that they have to undertake, not just a survey of Evertonians.

I do. It's also something that went on with the other failed stadium schemes and it came at a point when those projects were as good as finished....and there's nothing stopping the application going in prior to the consultations, as per Destination Kirkby.

Why would they take the time and cost to send folks to New York with Dan Meis? Why hold numerous and lengthy public consultations that will accrue cost?

I reckon the delay could be brexit related where they just wanted to check to make sure they don't do anything stupid if we return to mass poverty.

Look logically at all the steps in place over last six / twelve months.

The club are literally speaking as if it’s happening including the legacy at Goodison.

No. They have a poorly thought out politically unacceptable understanding for a funding model with the council. THAT is not investment secured. Sorry, but it just isn;t. Hence the prevarication and endless kicking of a can down the road.

Different club now, and we’re making sure it’s done correctly.

Still the same club now, Elstone has only been gone a few months.

Thankfully we have Keith Harris on board who has first hand experience of delivering a top class stadium a good few years late.
