I'm sorry but after the start they have had, their obvious crapness, poor manager and delusional fan base, and the fact that I am waiting for title no.3 for far too long.

If Liverpool finish above Everton this season, questions need to be asked.

Who's with me?

:)

Considering your a Barcelona fan. I'm staying with Everton thanks.

I'll wait for the 22 minutes before giving an opinion.

Good idea.

And before anyone starts with the moaning, I'm asking the question, and also raising the bar. We should finish above this shower, this is our best chance for a while. Apart from the top 4 season it's been pretty relentless.

Liverpool have very few real quality exciting players. They have an average manager, and he is average. At least Rafael Benitez was a winner. They have a striker who's freckles are even getting pissed off, they have a midfielder who if he wasn't playing for Liverpool, would be standing in the Kop with his Yanks Out placard, and everyone else are fringe players at best.

We on the other hand have some real quality in all areas of the pitch, apart from the right side. We get Landon in Jan (which I will give my right nut for (name the film reference for bonus points)) and we will be sweet as pineapple on pizza.

If Moyes doesn't finish above this shower, I think questions have to be raised about his ability to match his potential, and get the best out of the best squad he has ever had.

Now discuss.

Or that he's so far up him he's as close as it gets.

True, but it's making me thing. What's the easiest way to make friends on a forum? Apart from saying you have big norks, you invent alter egos. Hmm.

Anyway, back on topic. Would you consider it a failure if this Liverpool side finished above us this season? Because I would.

As things stand now i would be very disappointed if they finish above us. BUT.....

It really depends on the money they have available in January. I expect them to cash in on Torres, which will give them possibly 60 mil+, then Babel and a few others to go. Woy could have a fair bit of money to spend to strengthen a poor side.
We will probably spend nothing again. So in short, I will be better able to give you an opinion in January.

To be honest mate I'm much more interested in where we finish rather than judging us against the sh!te.
ie) If we finish 17th and they finish 16th, then our seasons been a failure.
But i we end up in third, and they're in second, you would have to say we've had a good season, it wouldn't be success, but I'd be happier than I have been for a while because it would be progress, and therefore not a failure.

I'm with you since I'm on record of calling for Liverpool to finish no better than 9th or 10th this season.

I stand by my prediction.

Selling one of the best strikers in the world is not really strengthening their side. But I kind of see what you mean.

No it's a good point, and I agree finishing 16th would be a failure.

I was just testing the waters, stirring up a quite dull pot at the moment. Chelsea forums must be so dull, win win win. Nobody moaning. This place only has life when things go awry.

Just out of interest, what place finish (regardless of the sh!te) do you think would constitute us not failing this season, for me it would be top six...
