New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

No mate this Stanley Unwin.

This is a very good question and topicold. I would say that if the forward line have a symmetrical teamworkers and that they can from the first passit of the ball... take in mind the measured beat of a one, two, throo or fido... so that the ball can falollop out to the wingers and a very fine trittly how in a run and drop-kick and carry one and shooting in the goal if they can get by without an offsiger which is known on the ref and don't throw the bottload because he's only doing his best. But, er, it'll be hard on their halfbackers because I don't think they'll get a chance to do a falolloper shooty on account of the front line with their deep joy of, shall we say, an express in their enthusiasm.......

Nice one Pete, at last somebody who talks sense on here.

The problem with Anderson's funding plan (define it as PFI or however you want) is that it almost certainly contravenes EU rules on providing State Aid to private businesses. In no way do i intend to open up another f*in Brexit debate but sadly it is exactly that. EFC borrows LCC who borrow from Central Government who are signed up to EU rules preventing State Aid to directly benefit private businesses. The loan is specifically for the stadium as opposed to new roads, train station etc most of which in any case is being funded by Network Rail, Peel etc. LCC make money on the interest paid by EFC but that's besides the point which is the stadium specifically belongs to a private company, EFC.
So the WHU and Man City stadium acquisitions were illegal under EU rules then?

Thing is they shouldn't be consulting the fans at all on this, its far too important to be asking fans, the only people they should consult are experienced professionals who have a full understand on what is going on, what is needed and what the outcome will be if planned correctly. You only have to look at the mess the Government made consulting the public on Brexit to see what happens when you throw things out there to people who dont really know what they want
Yep, those Remainers......perhaps they know better now though...

Could have done with Liverpool winning the commonwealth games like.

I don't think they had any real plan if Liverpool didn't win it.
This all day long
They banked on winning it and getting a free stadium like city did, never happened.

Now things are slowly coming to a standstill, post Brexit the price of the stadium will almost certainly increase, giving the perfect excuse as to why it collapsed.
