New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

There is a hell of a lot of work going on in the Bramley Moor Dock area right now, workmen have been widening the footpaths and putting in new kerbstones etc all the way long the dock road.
I think that they have also widened the road itself, it's difficult to tell until they open it out again.
Next step will be the road surface itself, which is gruesome with potholes and bumps and lumps everywhere.
Massive amount of work going on with the infrastructure around the site even though it appears nothing is happening.

You still see that today - some know the H&S team so know when they get tested or get pardons.

In the big construction companies now, many of the tests are performed by external companies who come in a pick at random from site attendance sheets, or in offices, from the phone lists, which makes the flagrant use of such things even more baffling to me.

All that work is part of a wider infrastructure programme which would've happened regardless of BMD anyway.

I'd take that as a step forward myself,

A great benefit of the stadium location is that it's in a pretty quiet area that's accessible and close to the ports.

We won't encounter some of the issues that previous builds in a city centre have had, eg: Tottenham's

Yeah that's what I used to have.

Until a few of the lads told me that their manager said tell them before they're tested and they'll sort them out.

Literally every manufacturing and construciton company tests now and still they all still get on it.

To be fair, I don;t think it's fair to sack someone for what they did on the weekend, if they do it the night before work then yeah, but not if they're not under the influence.

As @Jacko93 has said, these are related to Liverpool2 the Peel Port.

Which will be of use to the new stadium once it gets built.

Not from Swansea.
Yes I support Wales, Wales is a country, its completely natural to support a club and a country.
But I do agree all everton fans have to be from Liverpool, I'll stop supporting us now song as I'm not allowed.
Why do you say you're from Liverpool rather than you support everton? Bit weird not being proud, just say the words "I support everton" and I'll believe you.

Got absolutely no issue with you coming from where you do or anyone else for that matter but if your going to make snide little remarks to me about my support then expect to get something back.

Jack - the nickname for Swansea supporters. Your from Wales. You go on about welsh players all the time. Could have sworn you said once you were from Swansea. Regardless your from Wales. You chose to support Everton. I didn't choose. Born and brought up here its my birthright.

Feel free to have an opinion but im not having wools trying to call me out.

Some of the recent info on attendances for teams who are riding high sways me toward the view we shouldn't go beyond 55k if the BMD stadium is built. Maybe even a case for 50k.
You could well be right, but I personally believe if we were playing a CL game in the Etihad last night we would have filled it. Been to watch city a few times last season including a CL game and not once was it full, they really don't deserve the good fortune that's come their way.

Prices will determine gates as much as success. Not a chance any club with £500M-£600M debt to pay are having a "competitive" price structure. Build a 60K capacity stadium and there will be a lot of unfilled seats.
