notice all the talk is about him and not Spurs ??. charlatan , and has been for a while. Be worried for Spurs, the next manager for United was in the away dugout !
Whenever his team are going through a poor patch, Jose will always make an issue that will ensure that the press focuses on him rather than the performance.notice all the talk is about him and not Spurs ??. charlatan , and has been for a while. I'm not his biggest fan, but he does get unfairly treated by the press.
I think they'll stick with him.
When he does something mad, the media are all over it. Slagging him off whenever.
When Klopp loses it, they laugh it off. "Great to see such passion".
I do believe Mourinho is just fed up now though, I reckon this may be his last managerial tole.
Yes he's had money, however in the past few seasons (since 2015) he's won the Premier League, Europa League, League Cup (x2) and Community Shield.International football management is the retirement home for failed league managers > Martinez / Koeman et al.

Why do so many people on this forum feel the need to continually reference Klopp and secondly Pochettino when discussing mourinho? So the media prefer those two managers. Maybe it’s because mourinho’s rap sheet and track record for being quite rude and aggressive with journos is well established. You have to play the media game if you want the love in. Honestly the defence he gets on here from some people on here is quite embarassing and makes us seem really insecure. It makes the defence OJ got seem credible.
He’s the manager of Man United and he’s doing a poor job. Yes he finished second last season and he won’t the Europa league in probably the worst lineup of the competitions history. He’s always been a cheque book manager and he has continually received backing at United. Pogba, Sanchez, Lukaku, Bailly, Matic and on and on and on- he’s been backed plenty. I agree with some posters that if as a club you get to the stage where you don’t trust your manager and don’t want to back him with money then the time has come to part ways. No point carrying on with an incomplete squad and unhappy dressing room and manager. But the point is when is the last time he made a successful signing or actually improved a player on the training ground? A lot of players seem to have regressed under him. There is no doubt that both Poch and Klopp have done that in recent seasons, Jose hasn’t. It’s no surprise they don’t want to give him £60 million for a twenty nine year old from spurs or £80+ million for a total yard dog. It’s short termism at best- and we all know where that leads.
Mourinho was brought in to do a job , he won two trophies and qualified them for the champions league , as I’m sure his conditions for the job required him to do . The points he achieved last year would have won him the title in many recent seasons, city of course were stand out last year.
I’d suggest people compare them because those other two managers have won the square root of nothing and yet we read how amazing they are and what phenomenal managers they are , whilst the media rush to put the boot in to Jose . To me it seems a perfectly reasonable comparison .
The start to this season hasn’t been good enough that seems clear but Mourinho has done what I’d have expected him to do . The bloke has won trophies and qualified for the champions league , things that were beyond previous appointees, certainly in combination . You can’t appoint mourinho and then not support his ambitions in the market and be surprised if his team doesn’t perform , if you’re going to do that just sack him .
Mourinho has done what you’d expect him to? What? Lose two out of three games so far and play awful football in all three, even the one his team won? Pretty low expectations. And yes overall he’s won two trophies (people counting the charity shield to defend him just reinforce my point that it’s embarassing how some blues defend him- even united fans don’t count that). If you actually examine those trophies as well he was very lucky to win the league cup (completely outplayed by Southampton who had a goal disallowed wrongly for offside) and the teams united faced in the Europa league where laughable.
People just seem overly sensitive about the Klopp and Poch comparisons- especially when Mourinho has no great affiliation with our club. My point is simply don’t pay attention to what the media say, judge with your own eyes. And from my POV he’s doing a pretty poor job currently. Doesn’t matter who you compare him to, only judge him on his own merits and by United’s standards. Poor football and poor results for me Clive.
