ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 2

Except, of course, from last season when Liverpool had more calls against them than any other side and the same amount of pens at Anfield as Spurs did.

You’ve had more pens in premier league history than anyone. A stat totally out of line with your bog standard performance in the competition over 26 years. And before you say it was anything to do with attacking football, Benitez Houllier Hodgson had some of the most mind numbingly boring defensive sides in the league.

I love how in this thread Liverpool cannot win a game without cheating lol
Not true, they beat West Ham, the worst away team in the history of football, without cheating too much. But Salah is as big a cheat as Suarez. They've been cheating since Dalglish came. Before then they had a bit of decorum. But for the last 40 years that went out of the window.

Point proved.

Problem 1: Possession stats are meaningless as they simply based on the number of passes each team make. Which means they are utterly irrelevant.
Problem 2: Sky are having a total fest over LFC - how else do you explain the total BS advert over that Salah goal (particularly as it was against City at home) - the close ups the rants the Liverpool love in.. that just won't cut it with me, Man U fans, City fans... in fact anyone but that lot. Well, let them fail miserably to attract new non-LFC customers - any normal advertising agency would be telling them.. "hang on there, there are other teams that people follow"
Problem 3: As number 2: the equally annoying "everyone is pulling up an armchair and "filling the stadium" Sky football advert. Can you see anyone but the "Big Six" (see the billboard - there's a Newcastle flag and maybe some other team.." the actually advert has "Wolves (fans) joining the party" - and is that because they "bigger" than Fulham and Cardiff.. where are we, Newcastle, Leicester, West Ham and, of course, all the other teams' fans.. yeah, we don't count.

I go past that billboard every day, and it still puzzles me that instead of doing every team in the league having a fan in the picture, they regurgitate people with the big 6 shirts

I have always wondered why the pit has never been used for concerts if I am honest. Maybe it has and I missed it, but there cant be that many large football grounds that havnt had some.

I saw the Rolling Stones at Ashton Gate in Bristol on their Start Me Up tour ffs! Since then, off the top of my head, The Who, Tom Jones, Rod Stewart, er, Billy Graham have had gigs there.

Must be a planning/rulez thing I guess.

edit. Other than boxing, cant recall Goodison being used for owt else neither.
Reminds me of when I had Tom Jones syndrome.

I asked the doctor was it common

He said, it’s not unusual

Great stuff. It will only add to their delusion.
They won’t finish top 6.
Wait until the players lose faith in Klopp.
You can only blag people for so long.

I think they’re nailed on for top 4, maybe even 2nd or 3rd but I wholly reject the idea that them and City are in a mini league above the rest for the title. City have the edge on any actual performance based evidence anyone can find, and then a group of Liverpool Spurs United and Chelsea will jostle in my view. Arsenal look like they need a bit of rebuilding. Injuries and European involvement may shape things too. Chelsea could be a bigger threat than anyone thinks. Top players, no serious Europe, already beaten a rival, manager has a track record of huge improvement in first season.
