Jose Mourinho is boss

love or hate him, he knows how to win.

I would have him here tomorrow.

Look at the state of Man Utd just two years ago. He knows how to build a side that doesn't fear anyone.

You run through a brick wall for him or you get sold.

I prefer Guardiola's style of football but admire Jose Mourinho more. What he did with Porto and Inter was phenomenal really.

The media darlings are currently that scruffy idiot across the park and Pochetinno. Neither have won anything in England.

Mourinho silencing his critics yet again.

Man Utd looking good for runners up in the league which is huge progress considering where they were under the Chosen One.
Think he has lost it to be honest. The game has changed in favour of attack minded teams. His style is harder to make work as goals have become cheaper and nicking the 1-0 win is much more difficult now.

I think in general the game has evolved massively in the last 10 years and he really hasn't changed with it. Moyes has been similar in failing to adjust but generally with less talent so he has looked worse but similar problems for me

Also ... if José retired tomorrow I guarantee in 30 years time he still would have won more tan Klopp ever will

Absolutely no doubt .

Jose is finished apparently, we’re told his time at United had shown us that he’s a busted flush . Well If you take out the super cup which is Germany’s charity shield he’s only one behind klopp’s whole career during his time at United in terms of trophies won . Actually if you count super cups and charity shields then at United alone mourinho is I think one behind klopps career .

Not as good as when he shushed them in the League Cup Final. He's become a bit of a div, but he knows what the RS are, which will always give him brownie points with me. The beginning of the season this year when he called out the press for kissing their backsides saying they were going to challenge for the league, despite finishing 4th, a hairs breadth ahead of Chelsea last season. If their had been 40 games they would have come 5th, but now because they've signed a keeper they'll be 20 points better. José knows.

Looks like the game has moved on from Mourinho's sit back park the bus and counter tactics, how many of the top teams in Europe play that style besides Simeone at Atletico who been lucky enough to stay at the same club with the same core of players who are drilled into that style of play, plus another factor is he has a strong charisma that the players will sweat blood for him.

With Mourinho he bounces from club to club, the 1st year the players are on board then the 2nd year it starts to unravel and the 3rd season it implodes as the players seem bored of the dour football/tactics and Mourinho's standoffish paranoid nature.

All the top managers in Europe right now are playing a expansive pressing game with sweeper keepers, high lines and counter pressing high up the pitch.

Mourinho isn't one to adapt and is looking out dated and stale,Wenger had a similar problem as the game left him behind years ago and he was to stubborn to adapt away from his pure possession game.

Also in the third season he starts to lash out at everyone around him and alienates himself further.

He gets away with a lot and gets credit on this forum simply because he’s thwarted and humiliated the RS throughout the years. Whilst he’s an enjoyable troll in those situations, I’d personally rather not have to take my football enjoyment and live vicariously through such an odious cretin as many people seem to do.

He’s a man who hung his medical staff out to dry, poked another manager in the eye on the touch line and had a weird obsession with Wenger for years which bordered on insanity. That’s just a few choice moments from him. Furthermore his bullying of Luke Shaw over the last few seasons has been completely abhorrent. The hypocrisy to criticise other teams for spending money when he was the man at the forefront of the Abramovic era and the beginning of Chelsea buying the league is also amusing.

It seems to be with him from the POV of blues that “the enemy of my enemy is my friend” and that I agree with. 13/14 at Anfield was an unreal performance by him. The problem now is that he seems to play that way in most games. He got out manoeuvred tactically by Brighton FFS. He’s at least half a decade behind the times when it comes to tactics and he can complain all he wants about United failing at recruitment, but the two centre halves who started against Brighton were signed by him. If (when) he loses his job at United I don’t see many of the elite clubs in Europe rushing to hire him- for both professional and personal reasons.
