....perhaps more evidence of a football strategy, with him talking about the vital no6 (Schneiderlin) role as the one that dictates the pace of play. Indication that he doesn’t currently have anybody else who can truly do that if Schneiderlin is injured for next week. Shame Gomes isn’t available.

hes been good schneiderlein too so far, think having a manager that wants to be here and motivates will make all the difference with him

Silva is playing with basically the same players that Allerdyce had, with one notable exception. Baines is playing well, Siggy has started, Keane looks like he might be shaping up. Silva has installed something into a set of playes who struggled to get a shot on target last year, I look forward to the time when he uses the players he has brought in.
Things aren't perfect, Brands and Silva aren't miracle workers, we can't become league winners over night. I am more than content with what they have achieved so far, if they can shift a couple more on before loan window closes then they will have exceeded my expectation.

Allardyce didn't have Wallcot and Tosun until January. No Richarlison. Baines injured. Coleman coming back late. Bolasie not fit.

Koeman's squad was ridiculously unbalanced with no pace and Big Sam had to come in to that.

I think it's a bit over hyping Silva getting more out of the "same" players Allardyce had, especially when Silva has had a full preseason and addressed a balance issue

Just having richarlison over bolasie is making a huge difference

No it isnt. I said many times last season. A decent coach in charge of these players will have us easily 7th and poss in Europe. Silva is proving I was right. Allardyces overly negative tactics actually cost us. He didnt save us as so many of you believe. We are seeing living proof of that right now.

I agree with that to be honest, but whether it was negative tactics or he just didn't care because he knew whatever he was going I don't know. The amazing thing is we started off ok and got progressively worse, there were no signs of any green shoots that we would get better. The games against Southampton and then West Ham just hit home how we did not have a plan.

Team are fitter, fighting for their places, with a positive attitude and clearly being coached (see first goal last Saturday - training ground move for sure). The camp looks happier, Schneiderlin looking like a player again as he knows he just won't be picked if not. Add some good buys (yet to play) and a good balanced fixture list - this is a much improved Everton. We played some really nice stuff last Saturday, I never saw that once under Allardyce.

That's the big thing for me at the moment. With the exception of Richarlison that was basically the same team Allardyce bored us with! It's very early days but Silva could be the real deal..... wouldn't be great if this one time we actually got it right!

We got 8th with a set of players who aren't/won't be here for this season.

Now the back 4 will be different with Digne and Mina. The front 3 is different by adding Richarlison and Bernard. The midfield will be different moving Siggurdson there and adding Gomes.

At the moment we look better balanced up front and create chances, largely due to Richarlson in a position Siggurdson took up last season.

We've still conceded 3 goals on 2 games and the midfield still can't keep the ball.

Plenty to like so far, although I hope he's going to work on defending set pieces. I know it was a problem when he was at Watford and we've looked very dodgy on them so far. Needs to be something we spend a lot of time on on the training ground I think.

Allardyce wasnt interested in playing decent football. Can we forget about him please

The RS in the cup. A game he was happy to sacrifice.
