Usmanov

I doubt very much Futbolgrad would have him on if they thought he was a dummy.
I read his articles and listen to the EBM podcasts because I find them interesting, informative, and because having asked for further explanation or offered my own (sometimes differing) opinions, he's always be perfectly happy and willing to explain his thinking further.

He might not always be right, but his I find much of what he talks/writes about interesting and stimulating.

Fair enough answer, and I never said he was a dummy did I? I said he got shown up by someone with a huge amount more knowledge of russian owners methods in acquiring football clubs, which if you did listen to that podcast way back I don't see how you could argue he wasn't made to look ill informed in comparison with that bloke.

As for him not always being right, I'd say it's very rare he is right, different wording which I believe is far more representative of the matter

Doesn’t Moshiri have shares in USM though? That could be why they sponsor FF, and nothing to do with Usmanov. (I think he has shares anyway)

When you are a partner in a company you still need the sign off...so, as i alluded to, he would still require Usmanovs approval.

Which is nonsensical from a business perspective.

Imagine you own a company which owns several other businesses overseas and you have other partners in the company.

Separately you own a football club

Why would your partners agree to sponsor your club...its pointless

Not mine David, ive maintained the same stance that it "benefits" us more if Ali stays in the shadows, feeding us money via sponsorship and back handers.
...yeah, that's what's defo going on. The act of using loans all summer is just Everton being eccentric. :coffee:

Given that there may never be actual clarity on the relationship betweeen Usmanov and Everton, and the future of that relationship, at the moment all this represents is just another emotional coat-hanger for Evertonians to pin their hopes and dreams on, that mythical day of days at some unkown point where we are armed with shedloads of cash to compete and re-take our rightful place at the top echelons. And throw out a cheeky bid for Salah, arguing that he has earned the move and the opportunity.

Not necessarily a bad thing as we love to dream. But I suspect this will go on and on in some form or another with no defined beginning or end.

Oh Dave, not this again?

The loans are simply ways of getting cashflow through the business today rather than tomorrow, the club has done it for years to make up the shortfall till the Sky payments hit the bank.

A way of inflating the business side to make us appear more attractive whilst sourcing loans to fund our new stadium.

Its honestly business 101.

If you wanna PM me I can talk you through it, my NVQ in business admin makes me an expert in such matters.

Actually I might start my own podcast, Goat Everton Revenue Matters, would you subscribe Dave?
