A new build, 1 bed apartment in SW6 is going for £1.3m and that’s off plan. In 3 years I guessing that’ll be touching £1.7n, you’ll never get that return in Liverpool. And I doubt a multi billionaire is arsed about buying a couple of properties in a new development, he’d want a prime seat in the development.

Liverpool’s office space availability has always been poor compared to other major cities like Manchester, the lack of quality A grade office space has been talked about for years but all developers want to build is student digs.

A lot also depends on the success of the Atlantic gateway and the ability to get L2 really competing by driving trade from the southern ports
I couldn’t disagree more. London resi property prices have been stagnant for over a year and in Battersea and other over-developed areas have gone down significantly.
Conversely, all of the big London-based commercial property funds have been pulling out of London and investing in the M6 corridor and in particular Haydock (quadrupling their return in one instance since 2014).

Bigger returns in the North, more stability in London. Usmanov appears to like a risk.

Amazing as it could be I don't believe he'll invest in us, further from USM sponsorship. I think he'll want to be totally in control which he'd have to share with our current major owner. I know they're friends and work together, but think he'll want to be the main man. AC Milan would be a much more attractive option. Already a World name. We'll see

While none of us really have a clue, I think you underplay the partnership between the two. I've no idea of their businesses other than USM but before Moshiri left Arsenal it was quite clear the two were pushing for more involvement with Arsenal (is it Red and White Holdings they had together?). Until now Usmanov wanted to persist with Arsenal but that's a challenge he won't win. Everton on the other hand.....Yes Usmanov will want to be the main man he probably would be.

Yes would push us into the the stratosphere alongside the Man Utd and Man Citys of the World. There´d be a realistic chance of winning the league within a couple of years. Moshiri, God love him, doesn´t have the money to do that. Usmanov does.
Absolutely. We'd be a shoe-in for the premiership.

I see Dave Maddock is getting stick on Twitter because whoever controls the Mirror's Twitter feed decided to tease his article about Usmanov being unlikely to put money in (which I don't think is correct, btw) with 'your lot'.

Honestly, our fans must be the most easily riled up people going. They're also incredibly dim.

There’s weird elements of our twitter fan base for sure, but equally they’ve been wound up and taken patronising snide jibes from Liverpool friendly media outlets for years. I’m not surprised the camel’s back has been broken and they’re now jumping on any perceived slight.

Oh I totally get it mate, honestly I get as wound up as anyone when there's reason to be wound up.

Maddock annoys me, but in this case it's not hard to realise he isn't the bloke who writes Mirror's twitter posts... Just would like to see some common sense!

i thought mashiri worked for usmonov,, just let him take over the lot

Usmanov did not need to sell his Arse shares to but a club abroad. So his purpose if he wants to stay in football is to buy or buy into a PL club. Now there is the big question which one, he has connections with Everton but does not mean our club is in his sights hopefully it is.

The potential at Everton is huge, could represent a gain akin to say Man U, Chelsea, Arsenal so his wealth increase could far outstrip his investemnt and even more if he gets stuck into Peel and the North Dockland.

Knowing our luck, it's like that film trading places, Usmanov will buy the RS, Moshi buys Everton and whichever wins the league first gives the other $1

The way to get ahead in today’s social media driven clickbait frenzy is to be ashamed of nothing but offended by everything. About time us blues started doing it.
