If he thinks they’re even considering him with Alderweireld, Boateng and Maguire in the frame then he’s embarrassing. Like me waiting around for Margot Robbie to notice me.
I actually think he's better than Maguire. I've never been a fan of Boateng either, but I haven't seen that much of him in fairness. Toby's a different KOF though.

Think you've probably got more chance with Margot Clarke mate.

He may be but it definitely seems they prefer those 3 over him, and it seems their fans do too. And he’d be the cheapest of the 4!

If he goes to Mina he's a fool, playing in a 1 horse league and if Lyon get a tough CL group he may well be on the defensive side of a thrashing and thus his stock lowers.

Go to the prem, earn more money, prove yourself against some of the top clubs in the most watched league.

I do feel this one is near enough done and its the Lyon owner trying to save face but I wish we would hurry it up and get him through the door.

There are of course exceptions.

Baines and Jags for 2.

Its not they had no hunger or ambition, they found a club they liked and they stayed loyal, im sure both would have wanted to win stuff, but both played at a high level, played for their country, but more importantly for them their kids werent moving schools every 2 years.

So yeah, they arent failures and in this context its hard to argue they certainly made it.
Hibbert can spend a 100% of his day fishing carp after having played almost 300 games in the prem(the best league in the world), a dusin in Europe and a set of CL qualifyers, all for Everton.
I think that counts as making it, and belive you me, if Tony Hibbert ‘made it’, a lot of our players did.
