Can’t say I follow Italian football (or anything outside Everton to be fair), but the last time I saw Fiorentina they had Batistuta playing for them.

From Batigol to this fake footballer. That’s some comedown.
 
He's still only 30 - I find it hard to believe they couldn't coax a bit more money for him. 2 million buy clause after a loan seems pathetic even for him.

I've still got my Fiorentina number 9 Batistuta shirt. Shame I'm far too fat to fit in it nowdays.

The Ronaldo signing has created a right merry-go-round across Italian footy.

How do you sell him though? Injury prone player who lost all his pace, has a terrible attitude, doesn’t turn up in 90% of games, likes to steal pens from team mates.
 
He's got a better scoring record for us than most strikers we've had over the years, brought pace & a little excitement to our football.

Because of his attitude we won't miss him, but he's been a good player in the grand scheme of things.

So he'll be 31 next summer with 1 year left on a contract, honestly I'd have let him go for nothing. Kenwright needs a boot in the balls for giving him a new deal
 

5 Managers cant be wrong (6 if you count Olympiacos who couldnt get rid of their hero fast enough). I actually hope that he is a success at Fiorentina just in the hope that someone might actually buy this waster from us at some point and not loan him. 2 more to go (from the 4 that we know about). Vlasic on loan to a premier club and Cuco to Bootle FC. Sorry Cuco but you just shouldnt be playing in the premier league.

He’s honestly a perfect MLS player. Young enough to retain some value, and more skilled than 95% of those over here. Plus they could get close to his wage demands. Only problem is MLS clubs rarely buy a player for any real money.
