I do not think for a second that the Everton board have 98 pages of comms deliberating on Mina.

I believe that we are trying for Mina and holding out for him and the delay is with him waiting to see what his options are. And if I was in his position, I might well be doing the same.
I do not know if this is the correct thing to do. We could be left swinging like we were with Witsel, or we might get the player we actually want.
I presume this is why we have our name linked with a multitude of centre backs. No one knows who we are after as a back up and we have probably had a few sniffs around a variety of players with nothing concrete because we're still in limbo over Mina.
If Silva and Brands believe that Mina is the guy we need, then what else can we do? Wait and see and try and sort out a contingency plan and that's about it. Still doesn't make it any easier waiting for things to happen though does it?

We may have, but all the reports have suggested that we haven't. If we believe what someone like Joyce says when he tells us players have been told not to train with the first team etc, then I see no reason why we wouldn't believe that we're still holding out some hope on this.

I`m hoping against hope that due to Keane still being young, that someone will want him.
Judging him on the friendlies, he looks to have got even worse, which is some feat.
The fact that Silva has said he wants two centre backs in before the season starts, speaks volumes.
But, as you say, it`s gonna be hard to bring in two centre backs, especially as we`re struggling to get one in !!!!!
