Computer games.

@Dylan, apparently that theme was an arcade mainstay of loads of games, like penny falls machines etc.

You sure it was a home computer/console game?

EDIT: Loads of C64 games used it apparently, few obscure ones - list here:

Android 2

Dead Zone

Dynamite Dan

Scuttle

Project SOL

No I am not sure :(

It came up on a playlist today I was listening to at work, and the nostalgia came flooding back. It has been infuriating me all day now as to what I recognize it from.

Last years game was the best F1 game to date, this one looks like it'll be even better... has a lot of the stuff people have been asking for including improved physics and visuals as well as improved career which was already pretty deep. Safety rating/license for online is pretty big as well.

I need help from the older gamer types.

I want to figure out which game this song was played on:

Oxygene, Pt 4. 25 seconds in, the electronic piano bit.

I feel like it was in a game in the 80's (it was composed in the late 70's so this bit checks out), but google isn't helping me out (it only lists GTA IV as the only game it has featured on). It isn't Digger from 1983 (which has a loosely similar soundtrack, but not the one).

Can anyone help?

Either of these games fit the bill?

Jean Michel Jarre is known mostly for his new-age, electronic music, albums such as Oxygène and Équinoxe as well extravagant live concerts involving fireworks and laser displays. He has sold over 80 million albums and holds the world record for the largest ever audience at an outdoor event (3.5m people).

He created the sound track for Captain Blood.

whilst flicking through sky sports during the cricket lunch break, I've now found myself watching the FIFA World Cup e-sports event live.

These lids are decent like.

Afraid not....I have resigned myself to never knowing what memory that music had jogged in my brain :/
