Confirmed Signing Yerry Mina

Sounds like we're willing to wait. Really hope we have backup plans, playing very dangerous game going into the season with current cb. Not to sure why we're after him either, from what I've read he doesn't have pace. Thought the whole Thing of playing high is we would buy defenders who can run.

And again, we STILL don't play a high line. Barca played a relatively high line when they signed him, so even if we did play one, he'd be fine.

The attraction of Mina is obvious. Huge, still relatively quick, good with the ball - very important to Silva - and dominant in the air. He's also aggressive. If we intend on playing the counter, Silva needs guys that can step up and win balls from guys. He might seem a bit clumsy. Might still be raw. But he has a LOT of things that cannot be taught. We are hoping to get the next Koulibaly for half the price.

I don't understand how we can be willing to wait. EVERYONE has seen the absolute state of our 'defence'. We need them in ASAP, not in 8 days if a giant-sized tit decides we are a good fallback.

And others here saying "let's see if he minds sitting on Barcelona's bench for another year". ..well, yeah, I doubt he would mind. He'd probably get more medals with Barcelona on the bench next year than he would if he stayed with Everton for the rest of his career.

I'd rather go for someone who wants to play for us. I think if he does sign it's because we have hung in there and really wanted him but will he be hungry?

Yes I hope he does sign but he isn't exactly beating the door down to come. Although with Brands letting Williams go I suspect a CB is coming it's just who....

If we signed only players that want to play for us, lets just say we wouldnt sign many players.

Nobody in the world wants to play for Everton, 100% of footballers would pick United over us.
True but I don't even mean on an ambition level of course players don't see us as an elite club anymore. Of course he has every right to wait for a better offer. However you need to find players with that hunger maybe he's got it but I don't get good vibes about him. Sometimes you could go for a slightly worse player who wants to fight and grow with the club. You could say that about many of the players Moyes signed. I get the feeling we are picking up elite squad players half the time do they have that hunger? It's a question I'd ask Morgan if he was in front of me now because he looks like he's happy to swan around and pick up a fat wedge.

He will have hunger for sure, hungry to prove himself in order to get a move.
