Why does it really matter if he's here tomorrow or a minute before the window closes? We're buying him for the next five years not the next preseason game and the first couple of league games.

If we truly have no shot Brands will have other irons in the fire.

No point of waiting for him as clearly he sees us as the last resort. Brands should understand this...
 
So he can work with the team. I agree I just feel we should have options if he isn't coming. Ideally we sign one this week and this guy next week if he agrees. What we can't do is not add at CB we will struggle big time defensively in my view.

To me it is the fact that he doesn't sound like he wants to be here... Don't really want a player who doesn't want to wear our badge

Our Central defense right now is a joke... They get torn apart and I don't understand why Holgate hasn't played... For God sakes he has zlatan in his pocket a couple years ago. He can develop into something really good
 
He's a young lad from South America he won't even recognise us as a big club sad but true. Where as United his eyes will light up. I think he's waiting for a better offer if one doesn't come in he might come. Can we take the risk of waiting on him?I hope all our eggs aren't in this basket.

All our eggs in one basket is Evertons style... Hence the Giroud situation last summer
