Computer games.

Been playing Elite Dangerous (Frontier Edition) It doesn't try very hard to be accessible and some of it seems wilfully counter-intuitive (Hello Galaxy Map) but I'm slowly getting to grips with it.

Managed to get a few million together, bought a fancy new ship and got kitted up before heading to a conflict zone. Accidentally flew a bit close to some massive Federation ship and was utterly destroyed in no time whatsoever. Back to cargo missions for a bit maybe.
Hello there! Questions? I am sure me and @tsubaki can give you some pointers!

Been bashing around on the NEXT update on No Man's Sky. Been quite impressed with it.

Mr Worthabuy has revisited the game:

He completely changes his stance of the 2016 version being a garbage game and is now loving it

When Mack says a game is good I trust it. Just bought it. Can't wait to play it later this evening. The concept of this game always appealed to me.

Not my sort of person at all. Listened to a few of his on games I’d been thinking about and to me a third least he makes everything sound like his opinion is the only one that matters.

Then there was his Crew 2 WAB where he moaned about the game being about gaining social media followers. A YouTuber moaning about that is laughable. To me anyway.

And just by listening to him I can tell he’s fat.

I need help from the older gamer types.

I want to figure out which game this song was played on:

Oxygene, Pt 4. 25 seconds in, the electronic piano bit.

I feel like it was in a game in the 80's (it was composed in the late 70's so this bit checks out), but google isn't helping me out (it only lists GTA IV as the only game it has featured on). It isn't Digger from 1983 (which has a loosely similar soundtrack, but not the one).

Can anyone help?

Oh, and here is a game worth trying!

Cosmoteer

https://cosmoteer.net/

It is in development, but it is available for free.

The ultimate starship designer,
powered by a deep game simulation...

Cosmoteer is a starship design, simulation, and battle game. Design a fleet of ships by placing individual modules including weapons, shields, engines, and hallways. Battle A.I. starships to earn bounties or test your design skills against other players. A dynamic crew and combat simulation makes every design decision important and interesting.

@Tubey I reckon you would probably enjoy this.

It feels like one of the old Psygnosis Amiga games. They had a few in the same vein.

I'll have a think.
