They have ridiculously high expectations so its hard to judge. Im not bothered about his actuall ability, I just dont want another Klaassen at LB. He needs to be able to cope with the demands of the league

Barca fans say defensively he's good but not creative enough. Thats not all bad though when you're being judged against Jordi Alba. Being creative for us and Barca are two completely different things.

Im just worried about the pace and physicality of the league, its not always about sheer talent in the PL- hopefully he's been scouted properly.

Yeah that's what I heard too. Basically teams like Barca and PSG need fullbacks to be wingers who can defend sometimes. We need defenders who can attack sometimes and I think he falls into that category

Looked very adventurous when he first arrived at Barça and I really liked what I saw of him, but the problem is he didn't do enough to ever threaten Alba's place which is no real slight on him. Hopefully he is now tired of being a back up and is moving to be the main man and play every week.

I really couldn't tell you his level as an actual defender though.....he was normally on the front foot when playing. Faster than the ageing Bainesy though, that's for sure.
