Usmanov

As one of the clubs biggest mouthpieces, wouldn’t you expect that if there was nothing in these rumours then the club wouldn’t allow the paper to exacerbate them? Especially after the scrutiny Usmanov/Moshiri came under?

If it happens then I expect it will be similar to how Moshiri came here, there will just be a club announcement that he's sold his shares in Arsenal and bought 50% of blue heaven holdings, no long talks that go on for weeks or newspaper stories, just announced as official

Technically, they're not. USM aren't shareholders.

Where funds came from does not change who is technically a shareholder.

USM are just the biggest club partner aren't they?

The media activation across the club is minimal - otherwise it'd be plastered everywhere the eye could see.

It'll be USM funds in play behind the scenes that makes the partnership.

Us fans go nuts at any Usmanov link, always get so much talk and excitement. They’d be silly not to cover it.

So were struggling to buy anyone but we think money bags is coming? If this was on, coin would be getting spent already

Who has confirmed that we are 'struggling to buy anyone?' All we are doing is buying with a lot more thought and common sense than last summer. Have we used the 60 million Chinese line of credit yet? Have we used the upcoming TV receipts? Is our major shareholder not a billionaire? Aren't we about to commit around 50 million to a young Brazilian? Are the clubs finances not in a far better state than they have been for 20 years or so? But I forgive you...patience is not something that is common amongst football supporters.;)

30% of USM is not owned by either Usmanov or Moshiri. If USM were dumping money behind the scenes into Everton while not being a shareholder in the club then they are essentially investing money with no hope of a return - would highly doubt that this is the case (would certainly hope it isn't the case).

It would be difficult not to recignise an 'influence', we had one before with Pip Green, there's two common denominators there and they're both called Bill Kenwright.

Yes...theres certainly a trail from BK leading to Usmanov, and I don't mean Moshiri. Bill Kenwright is a close friend of the former Arsenal Chairman(?) David Dean who was a strong ally of Usmanov when he was at Arsenal. There are wheels within wheels within wheels that we as virtual outsiders rarely consider.......

Ever since the window opened we have been linked with all kinds of players only for them to be going elsewhere, the only one that seems to actually be on is an ex Watford player, the rest were either never on at all or we failed.

Agree on the clubs finances being tip top compared to the past, and I do accept we made such a mess last year we have to be very carful this summer, but even so, the clock is ticking

and then there is the small matter of FFP to comply with.
why do so many numpties think that as soon as we have a rich owner we can just splurge £500m on players?!! ffs

go read some rules

...and as a passionate Evertonian I can't knock your concern, but I think it was important that this window we played it very cool, and gave Brands and Silva(and Moshiri?) as long as necessary to consider options, and the financial worth of those options.
