After 38 years of only watching my toffees on the tele, I’m finally going to be at Goodison for a match!

Hoping to get ticket for the family for the home game against Southampton on August 18th, and would love some recommendations.

If it’s just me....no doubts on the Street End, but will be with the kids (10 & 8 respectively), so while I’m sure they’ll be mesmerized by the atmosphere....would like for them to get a good view of the game too!

Would appreciate any suggestions, preferably before the tickets go on sale on July 17th.

Was thinking Main Stand or Paddock....any thought??

For a good view your best going top balcony or main stand, family enclosure would be good for your kids to see the players up close but not a good view to actually watch the game, but you could always just get to the park end players entrance early to see the players, hope you'se enjoy your time over here

..I always think the top balcony is too high, it’s a bit like watching subutteo. Lots of standing in Gwladys St so that might be a bit unsuitable with young ones. The Family Enclosure will be fine for the kids.

Our STs are in Top Balcony. Love it. Tried every other stand plenty times over the years. OK, if I could get front row Upper Bullens on half way line or same in Main Stand, I’d swap, but we’re very happy. We’re on Row D though, so near the front.

OP, as your kids are young & may need the toilets a few times, the Park End (our only modern stand) worth a look. And no restricted views in there.

Thanks guys! Will take a note of the suggestions when the tickets open up on Tuesday.

Can’t wait to hear the chants and songs firsthand for the first time!

Will definitely take the advice on getting to the Park End players entrance early, what time would be good?

Hoping to grab lunch at the Winslow before the match, and then walk over.

Lunch at the Winslow ? Really ? if you've got kids why not go the Everton school in Spellow Lane just yards from the ground. Good cheap food and kids activities. .Make sure you go in the main building not the small cafe. As for tickets you might be better on Stubhub ,the official site will only have obstructed views

Whatever you do ME have a great day and let us know how you get on, as suggested stubhub, or even on here are good shouts as a source for tickets as you may not be left with decent seats if any at all via the club.

If you can, and as stated above, the Upper Bullen's is the best view at Goodison.

Enjoy the game, and the visit to Liverpool.

As long as you’re near the front & not directly behind a post. Some of the views up the back are horrendous. Back of the Main Stand is probably the worst in the ground, but back of Upper Bullens runs it close.

I understand back of Top Balcony at the Park End is really bad too, as the PE roof obscures the goal.

Go to the Thomas Frost (Wetherspoons) on Walton road mate, cheap ale, and cheap good food.

I've always been a lower Street End lad, however, when I took my then 8 year old nephew to his first game, I decided to take him in the Upper Gwladys. As long as you don't get an obstructed view seat I think it's a great view for anyone going to their first game.

Cant see you having a great deal of choice personally.

Finding 3 tickets together without an obscured view will be your biggest battle.

As for sight lines, The Park End is probably the best place, for atmos and angry lids in North Face the GSE is the place to go.

Dont go in the Top Balcony, unless you want to be terrified or maybe thats just me.
