Already the conspiracy theories are coming out in Russia. The three players who have covered the most ground in a game so far are Russian, The Russian team have covered more ground in their first two games than any other team 118km & 115km respectively. They have played two Arabic teams coming out of Ramadan and played Egypt in a city that gets 18 hours daylight at the moment. Daylight in Ramadan = no food or water.

Coincidence or conspiracy? Discuss.

The suggestion is we all know the Russians dope their athletes up to the eyeballs and don't play fair when it comes to anything.

Platini has already admitted France fiddled the world cup draw in '98 to engineer a France v Brasil Final. I believe the Russians wouldn't hesitate to dope their players, bribe officials and place the teams in their group at every disadvantage they could that will give them an easy passage into the knockout stages.

KSA gave their players some dispensation with regards to Ramadan and fasting but Egypt never.

Apart from a hardcore Russian contingent of supporters the rest are just puppets of Putin. Cheering on your team can only do so much, putting your opponents at a disadvantage can do a lot more.

You can break the Ramadan fasting if you are travelling - like before games - Muslim sportsmen and women do it all the time during major competitions.

Saudi Arabia are rubbish, Egypt are rubbish, host nations tend to play better than usual etc. etc.

So no.

They'll still get knocked out in the last 16 and fans won't arsed going to games after that. Of course the draw was dodgy as it would be a massive embarrassment for them to not qualify out if group. Dope testing in football is an utter embarrassment to the sport so it wouldn't be a major conspiracy theory to think they are juicing.

Wait until 2022 to see the draw Qatar get !

There's already empty seats in the stadia for every game so far. I cant vouch for the opener as I never watched it. Lots of fans have not travelled but because of potential/probable crowd trouble the Russians can't fill those seats with Putins puppets.

Has anyone seen Mo Farah or Usain Bolt recently? Their limp, drained bodies are probably in a secret laboratory somewhere in Russia while their quorn and vitamin super blood is pumping through the Russian players veins.
