I like Cenk, offers decent qualities.

We have failed to create chances for him. The lad needs the team to support him better in advanced areas.

I’d like a pacey striker to come in and add another dimension to our play, hopefully Sandro proves it can be him.

The chance creation needs to get better for any striker to succeed here.

He is a centre forward and a Turkish one at that, he is bound to have a bit of passion. I am not overly concerned about the sending off provided it is an isolated incident. I want him playing and scoring goals for Everton not suspended.
We do need at bit of fire brought back into the team after the misery of Fat Sam

Seriously?

We'v had him 6 months and he has banged in goals. The guy is right now our starting no.9.

If Silva can work with Niasse, Ideye and fatso Deeney then Tosun will be the least of his concerns.

Sigurdsson, Walcott and Lookman are class acts around him. Plus Dowell, Vlasic and a new signing? With Niasse and DCL as backup. Absolutely mint.

I dont know mate I think Silva is Klopp lite in that outside the rare 2/3-0 wins you need to often outscore the opposition to be comfortable winners.

You saw with Silva at Watford how many chances they had but missed due to the average attacking line and it would often come back to haunt them (2-4 chelsea, 3-3 liverpool, 2-3 Everton, 0-6 City) I think we will concede goals regardless of who's playing at the back and we need to try essentially do an RS and have that front 3/4 Who have the opposition backed off us in fear of the counter.

Walcott Siggurdsson Lookman/Bolasie

Tosun

A decent line up but still not the one I can see blowing teams away with.

We either have to replace/bench Tosun for a forward who can play Silva's system or if we are to keep him as number one bring in massive upgrades on Gyfi & Bolasie/Lookman.

Bolasie/lookman is the obvious place to upgrade because one is very young and the other is very bad at football.

Nothing wrong with a bit of passion  Slitting throats is common amongst players and fans. In fairness if it was his family then its understandable.

I reckon Cenk will get 15-20 next year in an attacking team that actually gives him some service. I still think we need to buy another top quality striker though to share the burden.

I like Cenk and he certainly seems to put a shift in. However, he definitely needs someone alongside him. He’s too lightweight to lead the line. Saw him brushed aside far too often last season. Mind you, same could be said for Schniderlin, Siggy and Keane. How easily were those guys knocked off the ball?

I don’t get all the criticism of his play and abilities. We were turgid and created the fewest chances in the league during Cenk’s time here and he has still banged in goals. If he has a chance, he usually takes it. Scores with his left, right and head. And seemingly has that hot headed streak after his last turkey game. What’s not to like?

I don’t buy this lightweight argument. Have you seen some of the defenders in the Turkish league? Or his champions league goals? Or his performances at stoke and Huddersfield this season? Probably the two most agricultural teams in the league. Aside from Mane, none of the RS’s feared forward line are big Lukaku types are they?

People moan about everything!

..not concerned with him showing a bit of passion, just a bit surprised he could pick out trouble in the stands whilst he was in the middle of playing an international game.

Well it was his dad like so it's understandable.

Not good enough to get 20 goals a season which is what is needed
The same people on here who say he is good are the same people who said the likes of jelavic and Beckford should be given a chance when it was clear as day they weren't good enough.
And don't even get me started on straqualrsi, who people rated on sheer workrate alone and wanted to keep him because he offers "something extra", the guy wasn't even league 1 standard.

Need to take full advantage of the loan market rashford or batsuayi are there for the taking.
