Lallana was a blue growing up as his father is a devout Evertonian, so perhaps it was all part of a master plan? Or he simply isn't that good...

About 10 years ago I told my rs boss that it was a coin toss who would win the league first between us. That's still the case now because whilst we know we've been a basket case, they've managed to maintain the illusion that they're not. I hope that they keep Klopp the flop forever! After all you can party if you lose if you're Klopp- he'd get lynched for that here.

I’ll start by saying I wish we’d won anything , any pot at all I’m not proud but 2005 saved them . It kept them relevant otherwise look at what they’ve won the past couple of decades they’re insignificant compared to the big boys. So the idea of another one raising their profile terrified me , thank goodness for Real , Bale ,karius and Klopp.

If Howard had done that, he'd have been laughed off the pitch. Though Howard seems more down to earth than Karius.

Ronaldo is an arrogant tit, but tbf he has earned the right to be one. Karius hasn't.

I agree. I'd love to have won stuff but I think most of us would realise that it requires hard work and commitment to maintain the highest levels of performance. The rs win a league cup and Champions league in the last 20 years and expect the world to lie down for them to return to a mythical time were they won the league every year and you could wee in someone's pocket and be a hero. The reality is they win nowt and get zonked out after slurping their fanta.
 

Relieved as I am that the rs did not win, any attempts to find humour in their situation inevitably bring up our own shortcomings.
We need to be taking apart in such finals, challenging at the highest levels. We may fall a few times but you learn every time and you get back up, it's about the journey and the experiences. They had one night of pain and several nights of pleasure on their journey, yes laugh, yes banter, yes give them [Poor language removed] of course that's football.
But if you honestly gave me the option of us rampaging through the champions league and falling at the last hurdle, I'd take it over mind numbing and embarrassing games against Europa minnows.

This won't go down well with some because some of us don't like the truth.

Theres about 100 other threads to talk about our own shortcomings and how crap we've been and you'll find that 99.9% know how far behind we are and where we want to be.

If you hadn't noticed this thread is about taking the absolute piss out of that lot so if it's alright with you that's what I'm gonna keep doing in this thread ;)
