..referee was called Robinson and coincidentally he reffed a match I played in London very soon after. He wasn’t at all happy when I mentioned it to him but after the game he said “can’t give what I didn’t see”.

The bloke was a quality player and a bully , but I mean that as a compliment. Souness bullied players and if you let him then that’s on you .

I’m know little of his managerial career other than my amusement when it went wrong across the park . I am capable of recognising when someone of ability even when I dislike them play . I can’t stand Gerrard or Suarez but you’d have to be stupid or blind to not have recognised their ability on the park .
