Champions League Final

...old fellas like me will clearly remember Gerry Byrne being a hero for the Reds in the 1965 FA Cup Final. He played almost the whole match with a broken collar bone as the Reds beat Leeds 1-0.

Fast forward 53 years and Mo Salah goes off the field in a European Cup Final with a sprained shoulder. I know times change but what a contrast (@Joey66).
I wrote in the match thread at the time that I couldn't understand why he went off so quick. Champions league final, maybe the only time you'll play in one, I'd have brassed it out to half time at least see how I felt then.

Perhaps they don't like it up em.

I just watched the re-run on BT Sport (didn't watch it first time round). The commentators made very little of Salah's injury during the game, apart from "what a pity" etc. It's only after the game has finished in defeat for them that the scratching round for scapegoats and excuses started.

Its wonderful, suns out, flags in and everytime I think I cant laugh anymore along cones an MMA expert to point out what Ramos done, petitions in full flow,Aldo and the cast of Brookie offering straighteners, and a sudden lack of bellends walking round in shirts bought from charity shops, long may it continue

Give it time. Lee Harvey Oswald will be getting the blame soon.
