Worst in terms of price tag - siggy
Worst in terms of redundant - Klaassen
Worst in terms of striker - Sandro
Worst in terms of backup - Martina
Worst in terms of ability - Martina
Worst in terms of fulfilling reputation - Rooney
Worst in terms of physical ability - Rooney
Worst in terms of suitability - Klaassen

Worst in terms of attitude - Schneiderlin/Mirallas

I really wish I could go back and change my vote to include the other 2 but Martina is the WORST player I have ever seen in the Premier League. #3 is a bit of a tossup, could either go to Klassen or Keane.

Easy one of the season this :

Cuco > Not an actual footballer.

Keane > Pub league defender.

Siggy > The invisible man.

* Klaasen and Sandro were massive mistakes, but have hardly played, so are in no way responsible for the team being garbage.

Keane and Klaasen cost so much and did so little and Mangala was a complete waste of a massive wage.

IMO Pickford, Walcott and Tosun were good signings, Sandro was a risk worth taking and Gylfi has been good at times and will be very good under proper management in a team not trying to play him and Rooney together.

Rooney I just don’t know how I feel

Between Klassen and Keane. You could add Cuco, Sandro and Mangala to the mix but they were all so inexpensive (we'd probably make a profit on Sandro if we sold him this summer) that I'm not overly bothered about them.

What infuriates me regarding the Klaassen and Keane transfers though is the incoherence with regards to how they have been used. Keane has been dire all season and the and even when another option in Funes Mori was prevented to Gravy Veins, Keane has been preferred.

Contrast this with Klaassen, and yes he has looked very ineffective in his cameos, but cameos is all they were. He hasn't been afforded the same opportunities that Keane has had to nail down a place.

So yes our transfer policy has been terrible, but the way we've tried to use these players has been dreadful as well.

With that gash season behind us let's look back at the players we brought in. We bought in volume that's for sure. Eleven new players played first team football for us and hardly any of them impressed.

I won't bother with a player by player breakdown.

Pick the worst three of the lot.

I wanted to pick the 3 I like the least, which is probably Cuco, Mangala, and Cuco again, but there's clearly only one choice because no other choice more perfectly encapsulates this campaign.

It's got to be Sigurdsson, Klaassen, and Rooney. When you spend £80M+ on three players of entirely different styles who play the same position, then spend the first half of the season bombing out of Europe trying to figure out which 2 of the 3 can play together on the pitch at the same time, you can't really fault any of the other choices for being "worse."
