Player Valuation: Free Transfer
Hi

I'am a Student in Bristol but have supported Everton ever since being a kid I need some help with a final year project on sporting attendances. So if people could help and answer some questions it would be very helpful thank you.

1. What attracts you to going to a match apart from the fact your seeing everton play?

2. Why if you dont, do you not attend matches?

3. What changes would you like to see to the ground and it surroundings?

4. What do you think of the travel to get to the ground?

5. Do you think their is enough entertainment apart from the match itself at the ground?

6. Does the whole experience offer value for money?

Thanks for your help very much appreciated

1. Excitement and buzz of a football match. Socialising with friends and to a certain extent, tradition. A feeling of 'i've always went to watch Everton'

2. The cost has prevented me going to matches as of late (with being a skint student!)

3. None at all, but we need a new ground for financial reasons.

4. Easy, Train (to Kirkdale from Kirkby) takes 10 minutes and then a further 10 minute walk.

5. Hit the bar competition, what more do you need? lol. To be honest, tacky half time shows etc just annoy me, we aren't America (no offence to the lads from America)

6. Depends entirely on the performance and the result (y)

A fellow West Country boy- Im from Bath mate.

1. What attracts you to going to a match apart from the fact your seeing everton play? There is nothing like live football- the atmosphere at a pulsating game is 2nd to none.

2. Why if you dont, do you not attend matches? Distance

3. What changes would you like to see to the ground and it surroundings? Unobstructed views, more parking better refreshment facilities.

4. What do you think of the travel to get to the ground? To the train station is fine and if you get the bus early/late enough it is fine.

5. Do you think their is enough entertainment apart from the match itself at the ground? I personally think that the football is entertainment enough.

6. Does the whole experience offer value for money?
Tickets are expensive but at the end of the day so are all the grounds.

1. Nothing else but the experience of seeing the club I love play.
2. Money, not going to pay over the odds to see football. Eg, Derby are charging £38 and they are a poor side.
3. Completely different ground, there is nothing about the current ground that I don't think needs changing.
4. Fine.
5. Nope, don't want it to be American style, but I want more than the same crappy music and 50/50 draw.
6. Depends on the result.

perhaps some background of yourself might help, whats the course, and what are your answers to your questions?

As a Uni student you are putting all your eggs in to one tiny basket. Poor questionnaire and I can't see how it would contribute to any coursework.

4. What do you think of the travel to get to the ground? Is this really a question???? Laters Desmond or should I say King of the Turds.

1. What attracts you to going to a match apart from the fact your seeing everton play?

Just everything about the day. The atmosphere, watching the match with fellow Evertonians. Nothing replicates the feeling of watching the match at GP.

2. Why if you dont, do you not attend matches?

I have a Saturday job. I live a good distance away and the tickets for PL games are bloody expensive.

3. What changes would you like to see to the ground and it surroundings?

Well. hopefully we'll have a new stadium soon which should resolve all the problems that GP has.

4. What do you think of the travel to get to the ground?

We always drive and park at a decent car park just down the road.

5. Do you think their is enough entertainment apart from the match itself at the ground?

Well, it'd be nice to have a Paul Weller or someone perform before kick off. But that's not going to happen is it? :P Half time entertainment is generally awful so I like it just the way it is. Half time is for going for a slash and reading the programme (y)

6. Does the whole experience offer value for money?

Well, for UEFA Cup/Carling Cup games etc. then definitely yes. The tickets for PL games are pricey but still, it's worth it.

Ive never been, so I wouldnt know! Maybe the pies??

2. Why if you dont, do you not attend matches?

About 12,000kms.

3. What changes would you like to see to the ground and it surroundings?

The whole thing relocated to Australia.

4. What do you think of the travel to get to the ground?

The lift from my mate to the airport great, Airlines okay but a 22hr flight can be tiresome, the overnighter in Singapore great for the ladies and tailored silk suits, train to liverpool quick but not without a derailing from time to time, and the bus to the ground quite modern. I tend to leave a few minutes before the game finishes to beat the traffic on the way home.

5. Do you think their is enough entertainment apart from the match itself at the ground?

Its all I go for anyway.

6. Does the whole experience offer value for money?

A pinch at $4000 a pop.

1. I go because Everton are playing
2. I am a musician so can't go if i'm playing or recording or out of the country.
3. We need a new ground IN THE CITY with attention paid to a dedicated big intimidating vocal supporters end "THE BIG DUNC!" Steep and close to the pitch............. and COLD beer!
4. Don't know. I drive from all over the place.
5. Only football related entertainment on the big screens and i like to see young local kids given the chance to have have a 5 or 6 a side 5 min each way game at half time or before the game. It encourages kids to play football.
6. NO! English football has betrayed the very people who through their support allowed it to develope to a stage were big money, big companies, and sponsorship could follow their own agandas and price out the millions of working class families who made it the peoples game. Sometimes i feel guilty for lining their pockets but i was born an Evertonian and feel a need to see them play. (sorry got carried away a bit there)

[Poor language removed] hell boys cant we just help someone out and take it as face value?! Why the [Poor language removed] is everyone so paranoid and has to rip it out of someone?! [Poor language removed] sake
