ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

There’s a big rest period between the final league game and then. We need Chelsea to beat them to keep the pressure on.

Won't be long enough. They're gone. Kaput.

Roma players put absolutely everything into that and the RS were still the more fatigued team at the end.

omg, did they nearly balls up a 5-0 lead, deary me, so what exactly was van dijk bought for? They love writing articles about how they're better off without coutinho, why don't they provide some balance and say that they're actually a worse defensive unit despite buying the most expensive centre back OF ALL TIME!

Not surprised to see them get battered when salah didn't score, without him they are useless. Couldn't beat stoke when he didn't score, let in 2 goals as soon as he came off v roma, lost their lead as soon as he came off v WBA, couldn't beat us when he wasn't there.

This is the biggest case probably in football history of a one man team, yet i don't see anybody in the media picking it up. British journos are always banging the one man team drum, but they don't say it about them, they can't bring themselves to say it because it hurts for them to admit it.

Wish we were a one man team in the Champions League final...

Wheels near came off in a SF they had won at Anfield.

Says it all. They cant handle the pressure. Imagine them in a final against the best team in Europe looking to write their names into the record books.

It's going to be sweet watching them get all the way there and lose. The pain will be immense for them.

Love how difficult it will be for them to get Kiev. A lot of money/time wasted if they dont win it. Hopefully fanta scruff makes a comeback for it.

They’ve actually played poorly for a while now but they keep doing enough to get away with it (helped out largely by refs too, even the Palace game was daylight robbery).

just read they got lucky with penalty calls again, i think the city tie should have been 5 goals difference, yet they were screaming for VAR last weekend when they couldn't break down stoke. They've let in 4 goals in the last 5 mins of both games in that tie, i don't understand how teams lose to them, there's a very simple way to play against them by keeping it tight with 11 men behind the ball for the first half hour and then watch them tire themselves out.

They could be leading madrid 2-0 with 10 mins left and still lose the match in normal time.

I can see Real Madrid doing what city did to them at the etihad in September.
They’ve had a nice run, now the kill the dream before it manifests into a horrible reality for the rest of us.

I hope so feller

the only possible place safe from them would be a rough arse social club or pub in Salford . Literally everywhere else in the world would be unbearable.

A couple of hours before the final
Large brandy x 2 straight > sleeping pills to KO me til the Sunday > ear plugs in and avoid all devices and tv for a month .

I’m going all Birkenhead and buying a pair of rockports, a fila top, putting on my best manc accent and bombing straight to Salford then

Ronaldo, Kroos, Ramos, Isco, Marcelo are experienced international players who’ve played in Euro and World Cup finals. The pundits on talksport were saying after the game, that games can be lost in the days prior to the game because of the intense media interest, which can affect lesser experienced players, who haven’t had to deal with the media speculation before. Real have been there, done that and wore the badge. I’m just hoping that there vast big game experience will be the deciding factor against a talented yet inexperienced RS team.

If Madrid avoid a smash and grab job they should see the job done. I’ve not seen this Liverpool put in a dominant performance away from home v any top side. If Real are clinical and avoid a circus at the back it won’t be a walkover for Liverpool.

Either way, there’s no other team you’d rather have them play in the final. Milan in 05 was the last decent team they’ve beaten in a final.
