We simply have to stick with him though - we need about 5 signings in other areas atm and I doubt we'll have the money to spend £20 million+ on these sort of positions then have a spare £50 million+ for a top CF.

Give him next season then replace if not impressing - would take Austin as a back up option anyday of the week mind.

Kane isn’t lightning quick either, neither was Diego Costa, they had no problems in the prem though because their team actually created chances for them. Unfortunately are football is so poor that unless we had a blend between Messi and Drogba playing upfront to trap goal kicks on his head then beat 4 defenders by himself we struggle to score.

Fair enough. Hope he can play out of his skin next year. With good service I think he will get a decent share of goals - just wish he was playing the support act to someone with a bit more quality, but as you say all about the money.

Would love Rashford and Austin - if we could get them for a combined £50-55 million and sell Niasse, Sandro, Mirallas and Bolasie for £30-35 million we'll have done good business imo.

Good options across the front 3 there with Austin, Lookman and Vlasic as options from the bench. Obviously means little if we havent the quality of manager to utilise them - Fonesca/Emery/Blanc/Jardim any of them would be fantastic appointments.

He will score at least 15 goals under Fonseca, don't you doubt guys. Even scoring 4 (and counting) in just eight games that he started, with Big Sam's horrible mind set is good enough. Have trust in him.

Rashford would probably be worth almost double that alone. I'd be all over a loan deal though he's top drawer.

It's the fact he has no pace, change tosun with rashford and it changes the entire way the team plays.
If tosun gets the ball two thirds up the pitch everytime he cuts back and passes it either backwards or out wide.
If someone like rashford gets it he looks to turn the player and head towards goal.

Big big difference in the way the game is played.
Tosun = jay Rodriguez.

I agree but supply > demand - realistically I couldn't see any of the other top 6 interested in him/Jose willing to sell directly to a rival- if we offered £40-45 million I think Utd would sell imo. Austin I cant see going for more than £15 million and he's a goal scorer- would be fantastic having someone available from the bench if we are chasing a game and need that phsyical presence to get on the end of balls into the box.
