RANGERS

Don't get me wrong, I think they'll never return in their previous form but if someone doesn't emerge to challenge Celtic then the whole of Scottish football is doomed.

It'll never be doomed

German football has one team dominating and it's fine

What needs to happen is the Old Firm centric media need to devote more time to building up the other clubs

Your ability to see into the future is impressive mate. Do you really think the manc police would use the same tactics as last time, ie just let them get on with it? No chance. They were a disgrace last time but the bizzies will be waiting for them this time.

By starting the sentence 'Rangers know they were a disgrace' you seemed to be implying it would be a different situation from their point of view not from any tactics likely to be employed by the Police.
As much as you are impressed by my ability to 'see into the future' I am equally impressed by your knowledge of Police tactics.

I do think that it would be different from last time, if only from the point of view of the Rangers hierarchy. They would be getting the message to behave out to their fans in a way they didn't do last time. If you think that things would pan out exactly the same as last time then you underestimate the police. Even they learn from their mistakes. By way of declaring an interest, I have disliked Rangers from childhood, but the lad who was talking on here seemed reasonable. I was having a constructive exchange with him I thought.

Ok mate let's try a different tack you've now switched from saying the Police will play it different to The Rangers board will play it different, but hey I don't care how you want to dress it up what I'm saying is stick 30.000, gassed, coked up Rangers fans in the centre of Manchester again are they really going to care what Mr King has requested from them regarding their behaviour or how a few police are handling the situation? if the same circumstances arose there would still be trouble they can't help themselves.

I'm not 'dressing' anything up. If you think that Rangers hierarchy or the manc bizzies would deal with that situation the same way a second time then you carry on. There'd be Feds bussed in from everywhere and the Rangers supporters would be contained in designated areas. I know 'they can't help themselves' but the police would be prepared accordingly in my opinion. Might not be yours like, but hey ho....

Yes whatever mate Rangers supporters are going to hang on Mr King's every word and enough money will be magiced from somewhere to contain 30,000+ rowdy supporters in a designated area yeah that should work.

I acknowledge where you're coming from. However, the police would request the manpower they thought they'd need, the way they would do with any club visiting Manchester/Liverpool etc. They wouldn't make the same mistake twice either. Think of the way 8,000 Evertonians were treated in Lille, then Lyon. Or is this about putting the boot in to Rangers/Sevco/The Rangers etc?
