It was like the derby game mate, there were a few shouts at the end of the game off “**** off Sam Allardyce” this was drowned out by shouts of “Everton, Everton” as the players walked over, and this was after a gashly disappointing point against a second string RS.

I’ve said it before, we win, and everything is once again rosey, and Allardyce deserves a chance etc in the eyes of some of our fans.

Also, at the end of the day we can have a pop at the RS as much as we want, but when they’re not happy, they will let the club know about it.

The fans don’t act like children, they know full well that if the board believes the fans are content with the situation they will do the bare minimum of maintaining the status quo until either relegation is threatened or fan discontent becomes too much. The board could have announced (like City’s did) that Allardyce would go at the end of the season but instead they do not set expectations or communicate so fans start to think, given the board’s past behaviour, that a message needs to be sent.

We all know full well that if the board thought they could get away with having Allardyce for another year, guaranteed survival in the prem, and not have to pay him off, they’d absolutely do it. It is only the fan discontent damaging the Everton brand, or the fear of relegation, which motivates this inert board to do anything.

Just cut the nice man bit off. Saves wasting another bedsheet on this dreadful rogue.
 

The only way he'll stay IMO is if the club can't secure another target, and if Silva is still in the mix, they'll appoint him over another year of Sam I think (in the event Fonseca, others, say no).

What's critical is timing. We need clear answers / commitment from those interested and we need them fast. We may already have gotten a commitment from somebody pending them finishing in their current role to the end of the season, though if such is the case, it would lead me to think that's Fonseca and not Silva, as there is nothing stopping us with him, if both sides want the move.

The only scenario I can countenance in which its better for Allardyce to stay another year rather than leave is if he is still here by the end of May / very early June (even that's very late). We then go into the WC and absolutely cannot repeat the farce of last October/November and be pinning the tail on the donkey in trying to get a new manager.

The board, all of them, will again be shown up for all to see if they make another mess of this.

I always defend the board but yeah I totally agree here. There can be no excuses this time. Allardyce was only ever a glorified caretaker for us, he knew that, we knew that, so there is no excuse for not having someone lined up this time.

Exactly. And Arsenal the other night with the ground half empty for a match by way of protest. But our meek acceptance of the tripe we watch and the relic on the touchline must be a godsend to the current owners of this club. Happy clapping fosters/festers this endless, shameful mediocrity. Where's our fight ffs? The fat slug needs driving out of the club for a start. If we don't rise up and make our feelings known in no uncertain terms then tbh we deserve everything that gets dumped on us and have no right to complain.

Anyone who thinks that the clubs heirachy don’t know that the fans aren’t having Allardyce has got rocks in their head.

Do you think that Mosh and even Kenwright have sat their watching us under Sam and thinking, oh yeah he’s the man to bring back the glory days?

Behave ffs, he was brought in to do a job, he’s done it, fair play to him for managing to squeeze an 18 month deal out of the club, when they only ever wanted to pay him until the end of the season, and more fool whoever negotiated that on our behalf for allowing that to happen.

He’ll be told thanks but goodbye in May and we’ll move on.
 
They could start by ending the platitude-ridden , insulting soundbyte "interviews" with the Echo about "commitment" and "desire" that I have seen from Ferguson and Schneiderlin. There must be others.

Nothing short of insulting and patronising.

And bin the end of season awards, give the cost of that to EITC so some good could come out of it.

A total blackout of media would be in order actually, until they have resolved the DOF/Manager situation.

The so-called "lap of honour" will be an ambarrassment too, such is the disgrace they've been, for the most part.

The other thing with this is that the club have to sell the idea of Everton all over again to another manager. We have to somehow convince a manager that we have a style, policy for young players / English talent, our strategy, approach to different competitions and '5 year plan' if there is one - the last 2 seasons will not show up well for a young ambitious manager, or for a seasoned, successful manager

That makes no sense from a business point of view... and this is a business.
The board of Everton and every other club want to be successful , they want trophies.

If what you say was true we probably would still have RM in charge, we would not have paid millions to sack him or paid millions to hire and then fire RK.

Of course, every board will monitor the mood of it's supporters but God help the club that lets it's supporters dictate how the club is run.
