if not for him we would have conceded in the first half  best defender, what a save there.

joking aside, he needs support, our midfielders were utter sh*t today, this team badly lacks any cohesion, it is even miracle he scored those goals under Big Sam. when the fat one gone, he will slot at least 15 next season, I will quote myself. this is not the team he can flourish.

He did ok but strikers are judged by their ability to hit the back of the net something DCL is finding out the hard way. Tosun's missed game winning chances late in two games in a row now. Needs to net soon or the doubts will grow larger.

Kin el chaps. He's what, 8 or 9 games into a career at a new club in a new league / country? That's tough enough. Not to mention the utter disaster of a playing style and managerial philosophy...

Have you read people's comments? No one is saying he should be shunted back to Turkey, just that we need better to worry the top 6. From what we've seen it's hard to argue with that. He's not going to transform his game this summer, it's obvious he's decent without being the quality player we need to front our attacking line.

We played even worse than we did at Stoke, if team gets it together against Newcastle at home, he will certainly score, with attacking mindset and enough creativity. No Morgan/Bolasie, play with Davies and Vlasic.

Yup. I read them. And I still reckon it's a tad harsh. He gets a half chance once a match, playing with a squad who've not troubled the top 6 in three seasons.

Edit: with a manager who hasn't troubled the top 6 ever.

Maybe if we created more than 1 chance per game, it wouldn't matter that he missed that one at the end.

No attacking threat in this team...

All I can say is we have a manager who bought him without knowing how to create a tactic to let him flourish.

Or should I say our manager, who had 20 years managerial career, had no idea how to coach attacking football.

Time will tell, but personally I think he's the least of this squad's problems. Agree with your general point - he won't change our fortunes alone but I think to pin our malaise on him alone is harsh. That's all.

I'm not pinning it all on him by any means. Just think we need a quality striker so Tosun can play the supporting role and also take over when necessary with injuries/suspensions etc. Probably living in dreamland here but that's what I think we need to improve upon where we are. Sacking the manager would help too obviously.
