I thought he was are saviour
Disagree. You could put Cavani or any top, top striker in this team and they'd be left isolated and chasing shadows for most of the game.I've seen enough to tell me he shouldn't be our first choice centre forward next season. Part of the squad, that's absolutely fine, but if he's leading the line every game then we're on a hiding to nothing again.

Against strong sides Sam essentially sets up with two LBs, two RBs, two CBs, three DMs and leaves our striker on his own at the half-way line. Its utterly pathetic and I feel bad for Cenk because you could clearly see his frustration with the team being so scared until the last 10 minutes.
We can't attract 'Lukaku standards'.Would you say that he's anything other than a 10/15 goal a season striker based on the evidence we have right now? I'm still judging by Lukaku standards because that's where I want Everton to be. I don't think Tosun is ever reaching those heights.
Oumar would've bagged those two whilst falling on his arse
He can't score if he doesn't get service, he should have scored that header mind but it was the only time he had a touch in their box.

He came from Europe. Champion's league, even. Regardless, my point stands; no striker in the world would have had a decent game today with how negative and defensive we were for 80 mins of it.If that was the case we might as well pack it all in. We got Lukaku to Everton, we can still get players of his ilk. We just need to be more imaginative in our signings than Jamie Vardy.
As I've said, nothing against Tosun. He will run around and score 10/15 goals in a season but he isn't good enough to be getting us into Europe.
Have to feel sorry for him like any striker who plays for us, sooooooi isolated, ran around and did his best today, he deserves no criticism for today.
